Except for Thursday I have walked 2 miles each day - 1 outside and 1 inside to either Leslie's, or Jessica Smith's walks. (I have also added another session of some other form of exercise daily.)
Thursday AM I banged my toes on a table leg, it hurt for a minute and it was over. Thurs afternoon I went out for groceries. By the time I got home I could barely get the groceries upstairs from the parking garage, my foot hurt so badly. It continued all night, no relief, and It lasted until mid-day Friday - when I decided to try going out for a short walk and got in my mile, and my foot has been fine since.
So as of today, my total is 13 miles, out of 40.1 -

Oh my gosh!!! 2 solid workout days in a row!!! No wonder my energy is back!!! AND it finally seems to have stopped snowing in Michigan! :noway: I might even get to walk three miles outside this week! :laugh:

I got in 2 more miles today - so total of 15 now.
For Mothers Day, my son and 7 month old grandson took me out for breakfast. Then we joined my daughter-in-law and all of her family (including her mother) and we all went on a 2 mile hike in a conservation area. (I don't think I could have made this a year ago.) So these walking challenges have also improved my life in that direction too!3 -

I am so excited for you hollyhock! I remember when I could once again hike up a mountain with my son! I cried when we reached the summit!!!! Realizing how much of life we miss being out of shape is an eye opener isn't it! I am so glad this challenge has improved your fitness so much that you could enjoy a hike with your family!!!!! @mhosner - good job on being past half way to goal. My thoughts - keep your goal as is, since you do not feel well, and it looks like you have a busy week ahead. Keep as you are, and if you go over goal, wonderful. Then use that info next month to see if you want to increase your goal for June. Best wishes.0 -

Hi everyone.
I got in 2 miles with Leslie on May 11
Nothing on May 12, because I was busy all day with doing laundry, groceries and errands. By the time I finished those my knees and feet hurt too much to do anything else.
May 13 I walked 1.5 miles outside.
And May 14 a total of 3 miles - 2 with Leslie, and 1 strolling around with a friend.
Total now - 25 miles out of 40.1 -
What a great couple of days at the TOPS PRD. Our walk yesterday morning was with a Leslie Sansone certified walk instructor. Nice to catch up with friends in other chapters and to come home with inspiration and a renewed commitment.
