Having Surge calorie count issues (2 devices)

Hi everyone,
I posted this on the Fitbit community board but got absolutely zero replies (is that common?) so posting here in case anyone has had a similar issue!
Lately my Surge has been acting all sorts of crazy, specifically calories burned are way too high.
An example, the other day after being awake and walking about for about 15 minutes, my Surge told me I'd reached my daily goal of 2200 calories burned. I am petite and female and think my BMR is about 1300/ day so this is pretty ludicrous. While it's done this before, its been when I've been in the gym (ie extrapolated calorie burn inaccurately from heart rate while weight training) but the above example I can't think of anything that would make it do that, I'd literally been up 15 minutes!
Maybe related, last week I also added a Flex to my account. These two devices manage well between them, no double counting. This particular morning too, my Flex was on the charger, not within range. Not sure if this could be related.
Thanks!
