I have just got a Fitbit charge hr and out of interest worn it along with my old zip to compare steps. The zip shows around one third more steps than the charge. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here. Thanks

Are both of them set to the same stride length? Were you doing anything that could impact the number of steps the Charge reads (pushing a grocery card/stroller)?

I just upgraded to the alta from the zip. I wore both for a couple of days, and my zip is had around 1500 more steps than the Alta at the end of the day.
I always had a sneaking suspicion the zip overestimated, so I'm happy with the outcome

I've heard that from many - Zip is more sensitive to impacts unless worn in bad spot, other spots makes it worse.
