Calorie tracker on charge hr

I have the charge HR. Obviously I use MFP and I usually enter exercise manually but decided to sink up for the day and see what happened.
3,657 steps.
I did a work out video as well today while wearing fitbit.
Estimated calorie burn was 728 which of course puts me at a large calorie deficit. I'm struggling to believe this is correct. I made up some of the calories but not all because that would be so much food!
5 ft 3 inch & 278 pounds currently and calorie goal is set to just below 1500.
(Be nice please. I'm trying to change that. )
Thoughts?

The first 2 weeks the HRM calorie burn will be adjusting based on several stats and activity it sees.
So that could be adjusting.
Now - was that 728 what it showed in Fitbit for the workout block of time?
Or is that what MFP showed for the Fitbit calorie adjustment - which is NOT just the workout?
Read the FAQ in the stickies as to best usage and what those figures mean.
But considering so many select sedentary and they really aren't - the fact you'd have a big adjustment even on non-exercise days is no surprise.
This was my big sedentary day, less than 4K steps - and I got a 150 cal positive adjustment with no exercise.
So ya - you probably need to be eating more to keep the deficit reasonable.
Reasonable could mean just fat weight loss.
Unreasonable would include muscle mass weight loss - and failure to maintain when that fact bites you later if goal weight is ever reached even.1 -
@heybales
