Who is fasting today?

Assalaamu alaikum! I'm in the USA (Ohio) and our mosque follows the statement by the Islamic Society of North America Fiqh Council that Ramadan fasting began today. But as I see every year, there are many Muslims that disagree because Saudi isn't fasting until tomorrow. My husband and I discuss this every year and he struggles to accept that we don't all start and end fasting on the same days.....I agree on using the astronomical calculations which would be different based on the country you live in. So just curious who is fasting today and where you are! Ramadan Mubarak!

    Slalmo Alikom sis , i'm from Egypt and we'll start fasting tomorrow Insha Allah :) here we depend on astronomical calculations, Happy Ramadan for you and your family May Allah accept our Siam and Qiam .

    waalaikum'salam, i started fasting yesterday, but i'm in Beijing. my family in malaysia started today though (even though its the same timezone). its strange i guess, but follow the moon right? heh. ramadan kareem!
