I have the opportunity to upgrade from my low end Tiagra/Sora combination and could use some help in the decision making from groupset specs to vendor. I think I've pestered Mark enough.

My intention is to go all Shimano 105. Here are my requirements...

175mm crankset
31.8mm band-on front derailleur

I was looking at probikekit but it doesn't offer many options within any specific groupset and their front mech is braze on only.

Here is what I have found at ribble in UK.

Shimano 105 (5800) Black 11 Speed Double Groupset
Bottom Bracket : 1 x Shimano BB-R60 11 Speed Cups (Ultegra 6800/105 5800) Eng $0.00
Brakes : 1 x Shimano 105 Black 5800 Brake Set $0.00
Cassette : 1 x Shimano 11 Spd 105 5800 Cassette 12-25 $0.00
Chain : 1 x Shimano 11Spd 5800 (HG600 105 Chain) $0.00
Chainset : 1 x Shimano 105 Black 5800 11Spd Chainset Compact 175 34/50 $0.00
Front Derailleur : 1 x Shimano 105 Black (5800) 11Spd Front Clip-on 28.6/31.8 $2.89
Rear Derailleur : 1 x Shimano 105 Black (5800) 11Spd Rear Gear Short (SS) $0.00
Gear Shifters : 1 x Shimano STI Levers 105 Black 5800 11Spd with cables $0.00

Total cost is $376.10

Anyone have experience with ribble or know if there are any taxes or brokerage fees when ordering from stateside?

Thanks in advance...

Ribble are one of my "go-to" suppliers for components mate... In fact, I bought the original groupset on my Dolan from there...

Can't help on the fees etc. across the pond however.

Oh - and check you're PM's - i've also sent you another message that way about the swap-over.

AND don't worry about pestering me - a) I enjoy speccing up bikes and sourcing kit, and b) it's the least I can do to help after your generosity with the Worlds Race Schwagg...

    Great news, Mark. Thanks...

The LBS said they are bound by USA MSRP which puts their 105 gruppo roughly $225 more than Ribble.

Just a minor change to the specs, where I changed the rear mech from short to medium.

In combination with this wheelset... I have the 9 speed (max) variation of this 32 spoke wheel and for me, it's been great.

    Front/Rear Hubs - ALLOY HUB 32H, Loose Ball W/ Rlca Semi-Alloy QR, 100/130mm spacing
    Cassette/Freewheel - 10, 11-speed compatible, Freehub type

I think that should do it unless I have overlooked anything?
