I assume "hours with at least 250 steps". I've pared mine back to 12 hours because trying to get 250 steps in those last two hours (dinner and the hour after) was just annoying my husband (because I needed to get up and move around while we were doing our evening TV watching) without much benefit.

I wish I could set it to have a goal of getting, say, 12 of 14 hours, so that I could have a couple of hours in the middle of the day that I miss and still meet my goal.

When this appeared, mine was preset to only 9 hours, I increased it to 10 because I know I'm pretty much always getting those steps from 5-6 pm fixing dinner. My goal for myself is at least 9 hours, but I agree. I would really like to be able to set my own goal, just like we can for steps.

I never realised this was a thing until I actually looked at the windows 10 app. I have it set at 9hrs. A workday would be more like 14hrs though. I'm around 60% active & 40% stationary. Never really think about it though.

Is this a new setting in the FitBit app? I've never heard of this! I was thinking maybe the OP hit their step goal 14 out of 14 days. :D

I've got the Alta, and it has a reminder to move function. If you haven't done a minimum of 250 steps in an hour it will buzz you to remind you to move. You can set the times you want to be reminded. I think the OP has hers set for 14 hours straight. I have mine set to remind me from 8am to 5pm.

That sounds like a fun feature! Thanks for the explanation.
