The scale. . .

So I religiously have been weighing myself every morning since I began this journey. I think I'm going to challenge myself to go until next Monday before I weigh in again. The decline is starting to slow down a bit and I want to see how my mood is in comparison. It doesn't feel like a 0 or .2 loss is effecting my mood, but maybe it is. Here's to new challenges.

I have always been a weekly weigher since Inhave gone to WE forever and still go to my meetings..I will admit since this journey I have weighed on my home scale a few times. Had my first gain this past Saturday (0.8 up) but it's ok. I had my hand in the honey roasted almonds and also in the pretzel thins and granola because I was so exhausted and fatigued from a massive workout - was probably dehydrated because I was shaky and was eating half asleep...not good.

Had a rough day yesterday since I have had a migraine since Sunday and worked from home yesterday. Back in the office even though O feel like garbage but at least I have my healthy choices with me! Really hoping for a decent loss this week..the week before last was down 3.8!!

On another happy note I got a new role within Wells - different group and all and I start on Monday officially. Treating myself next Friday to a 90 minute hot stone massage - reward for losing 50 lbs, it's my bday and also celebrate a new role! :)

I weigh myself nearly every day. I get discouraged by 0 and .2 losses, even though I fully understand the ebb and flow of weight loss. Human nature. The difference for me this time is that I no longer binge eat salty snacks and sweets when I'm discouraged...all thanks to my gastric sleeve surgery.

@barngrill I don't mind seeing the ups and downs on the scale. I know my body retains water easily and doesn't like to let go of it. I weigh daily to monitor my ups and downs to see what affects me the most. I know I log every bite, I know even when I eat "poorly" I've not taken in more than 1,400 calories in a day. I know I have not "gained" 1, 3, 5, 7 pounds of fat. I know it's an inflammatory reaction to SOMETHING. So I weigh. Repeatedly. Daily. I'm nowhere near as neurotic as I was about it three or four months ago, but if I'm home...I'm on my scale. When I stay at the boyfriend's, I will jump on his scale, and know that his is off by about a pound...not in my favor.

We all figure out what works best for us. I think that's one of the most important lessons of this journey. We all walk the same, but very different paths.

@char_barr Ha! Yeah, Mat and I are together 7 weeks today. *smile* He asked me to give him an honest shot after the first date in April. I did...and still am. He's a great guy. Still getting to know one another, but it's been great!
