Just finished day 7 of Level 3 of 30 Day Shred, too bad you couldn't see the sweat dripping off my head lol I went over my 10k step goal, drank more than my 8 cups of water and stayed below my calories :)

Good morning you badkittens! I'm having a pretty good day today.. Day 17 of not smoking which is HUGE! YAY! Went over my cals last night.. but still below my TDEE which is alright in my book. I also took some progress pics last night because I was feeling pretty discouraged and HOLY MOLY I can definitely see progress! I see much more muscle mass in my upper body.. my shoulders are looking kinda awesome and My booty is.. well.. I'll say much improved!! ~blush~ teehee :)

Went to the gym last night and had a good workout:

walk, sprint treadmill, 1/4 mile (warmup)
Barbell squats: 5x5 115lbs WOW! So excited about this number!
    Bench press: 2x5 80lbs, 1x4 80lbs, 2x5 75lbs.
I had this cute guy spotting for me and he really helped motivate me but by the 3rd rep it was a fail. So went back down to 75 and will start at 80 again next week. ;)
    Barbell Rows: 5x5 55lbs

    Accessories:
    Cable face pulls: 5x14 60lbs
    Cable crunch: 5x12 120lbs, alternating 5x14 6in leg raises.
    Hamstring curls: 5x6 60lbs

I'm still working my plan on the food thing. I'm doing a metabolism reset, reverse dieting up to find my true TDEE. Right now I'm slowly moving up from that blasted 1200 cals to my goal of 2100. Then I'll be watching my progress for a couple weeks at that level inching up until I find my actual TDEE. With that and the quitting smoking I'm expecting to put on a few pounds and I'm trying to be cool with that because I know the metabolism reset is something I need to do. After about 12-16 weeks I'll be back at a "reasonable" cut trying to knock out those last 10-15 lbs in a healthy way. I'll let you all know how its working as I progress.
    GOD GIVE ME PATIENCE!

P.S. I'm still trying to find that video.. it's surprisingly difficult to find!

You are doing amazing girl! I know from experience how hard the no smoking thing is, but it's good that you have something else to focus on (fitness) it makes it a little bit easier :)

I did Day 9 of level 3 of the shred lastnight, went over my steps and my water goal and my calories were on point :)

Ladies, you are doing tremendously! I love keeping up with your updates and progress!
I am still struggling, and I'm sure it will pass, but it's a tough one. Mentally I'm not there and it just makes everything worse, making me angry and frustrated and sad all around. And my back still hurts, dang it! I sound like a broken record for the last month.
I'm trying to approach this from a psychological learning streak: what's happening up in my brain? What's triggering eating the wrong things? What stops me from working out. And mostly, how much of it is a lame excuse. It's all part of the journey, I know it, but it suckies!
Aaannnddd our AC just broke yesterday.... And this is summer in Texas, it's hot!! :(

Girl we all go through it, thing is you have to overcome it and not give into it for an extended period of time. I did not workout 2 days last week, I ate pizza Friday night and had ice cream on Sunday...but this is a new week , my slate is clean!

AMEN on the clean slate. My delicious downfall has been donuts lately. Every couple of days my dad puts a dozen in the kitchen and man I can be strong for several hours but eventually I give in to the temptation. This weekend it was donuts and carrot cake.. geez. Ugh. And he smokes so I'm having that extra issue of having that around me while I'm not smoking. I know he'll be leaving soon (THIS WEEK) so I'm holding out that eventually I won't have that temptation right in the middle of my kitchen anymore.

@NadiaMayl I'm feeling you.. just know that we're here and supporting you whatever you're going through. I am going to look for that video again today.. it helped me so much but it's been really hard to find for some reason!!

@heatherc369 you're just trucking along lady!! You keep me motivated with your energy ;)

So I'm 3 weeks smoke free today!!! YAY! I've put on a couple pounds but I was expecting that with the quitting on top of the metabolism reset. So not too upset. I have noticed my workouts are still progressing and I'm definitely noticing less little flabby bits and more muscle tone. Yesterday I was just brushing my hair and looked in the mirror and noticed my arms, chest and shoulders look bada**!!! I was kinda shocked! I'm back on track this week and my goal is to log everything and hit my macros this whole week. I didn't get online this weekend so I'm going to report my Saturday workout here:

Walk Sprint 0.3 miles treadmill (warmup)

    Barbell Squat 5x5 120lb
Overhead Press 5x5 55lb FINALLY BROKE MY PLATEAU!!!!!! YEAH!
    Deadlift 1x5 115lbs

    Cable Face pulls 5x12 60lbs
    Cable crunch 5x12 120lbs

Thanks ladies for being here! I need you :)

Here's a form check vid for my deadlifts. I've got to work on my neck.. should be neutral the whole lift but I think everything else looks pretty good. Fun to see myself like this
