Questions about the Vivosmart HR and HR+

I currently have a fitbit, but there are quality issues with it. I am in the market for a new fitness tracker and am leaning toward either the Vivosmart HR or HR+. I am sure I have a lot of questions that do not come to mind at the moment, but here are some:
1) Does Garmin have a social aspect to it as far as a website where you can add people and compete with them?
2) Does the Vivosmart HR/HR+ sync with MFP? If so, how is the calorie tracking? My Charge HR usually overestimates by large margins.
3) How is the customer service?
4) One of the reasons I am leaning toward Vivosmart HR/HR+ is that the construction seems to be much better than the Charge HR. Would you agree/not agree with that statement?
5) Is it worth the premium for the HR+ over the HR? The differences I see is the GPS, High Sensitivity receiver (What is this?), Virtual Pacer and Personal Records. If you would not mind, could you expand on these subjects?
Thats all I have for now. Thank you in advance.

Hi there. I just got a Vivosmart HR after a lot of comparing.
1) I think there is a social aspect to Garmin Connect. They have challenges, etc. I haven't looked into it much as I am just starting with the tracker.
2) Yes. I can't answer that...first day and all.
3) Luckily I haven't needed them. I did have trouble connecting to my phone but I went through the app and FAQ's and managed to do it without too much trouble.
4) I think so. My main reason for choosing the Vivosmart HR was that it is possible to shower and swim!! I just spent a whole week at the ocean taking off my Fitbit Alta and forgetting to put it back on. No more! Fitbit in general doesn't make any tracker waterproof or resistant enough for showering or light swimming or snorkeling.
5) I went with the HR instead of the HR+ because I am not a runner, nor will I ever be. I compared what I do and want with what the two offered and the HR+ would be overkill for me. It all depends on you and what you will use it for and the kind of athletics you do.
