No no, don't panic! You couldn't have eaten 12,000 calories to make 4 solid pounds! Most of it must be water retention.... Plus you started working with weights, no? That could also get you... When I started lifting a few months ago, I also saw 3-5lbs of frustration on the scale!! Remember? Keep at it, they'll come off! But I do understand the frustration!0

Yes I remember , and I always tell people that but i am sure you know as well as I do listening to your own advice is tough lol I am down 1 lb already so I think I am good lol
I did not meet my step goal yesterday, about 7k steps, too tires n too busy at work, met my water goal, ate decent and KILLED MY CHEST with hubby yesterday ...I need more weights I only have 3lb, 5lb, 7lb, 10 lb, 20 lb and 25 lb dumbells. SO yesterday 10 lbs was too light for most exercises to do all reps n sets hubby had me do, I actually picked up the 20's for a few of them and holy moly! I think I need a set 15's so I have a choice in between 10's n 20's.0 -
Hi LADIES!!! Ahhh.. I've meesed you! I got home from my trip and then had a quick visit with my daughter before she heads off to Cali for a week with her dad. Man its hard when your kid goes traveling without you.. it's killing me
30 DAYS SMOKE FREE TODAY!!!! WEEEEEEEE!
Still at 2000 cals and after a 3lb increase in weight for a few days.. bounced back down to my normal holding pattern of 150-152 lbs. So I'm going to stay at 2000 for another week and if I'm maintaining I'll be bumping up to 2100. Searching for that TDEE still. EEK!
I had a great time on my trip and managed to do pretty well although my stomach was not very happy with me the last couple of days. TMI status @NadiaMayl..lol Blah! I did hit the Gym on Monday and did a yoga class on Tuesday. I thought since I lift heavy weights yoga would be a cakewalk but it was hard to keep up with that 70 yo yoga instructor.. haahaahahaaaa! *kitten*
So I'm going to post my workout from Monday because I need to:
Squat 5x5: 115lb (deloading to work on form a bit)
OH Press 5x5 55lb
Deadlift 5x5 125lb
Upright rows: 5x12 35lb
Doing this little HIIT circuit at the cables: 5sets x12reps each Face pulls (60lb), Cable Crunches (120lb) & 6in straight leg raises.
Assisted dips: 80lb 2x8
Assisted Pullup: 75lb 2x5
Going to the gym tonight for another. Distracting myself from the fact that my baby is in another state without me for a week #(0 -
Today's workout:
Week 8 of SL 5x5
Sprint/walk 1/2 mile
Squats 2x5 95lb, 5x5 120lb
Bench 2x5 45lb, 5x5 75lb
BB rows 5x5 65lb
Accessories:
3x12 Of each in HIIT style
Cable crunch 120lb
6in leg raises
Face pulls 60lb
Feeling good today. Looking forward to rest day tomorrow.

@Kerryatoon i can't imagine what it feels like to have to let go and share a kiddo! Sometimes I joke with the hubs about splitting up so I can have every other weekend off. But in reality it would break my heart!
Continuing the saga, kid #2 had a tummy bug or something yesterday, so, my anxiety kicks into high gear and I end up feeling nauseous and loose my appetite. We stayed indoors while hubs and son #1 did fun stuff. Kid #2 seems to be back to normal today!
I've continued to go the gym in the early mornings, run for 20 min and do some weights. Total workout time about 50-60 min. And I end up with 14,000 steps every day.... Hehehe lots of walking back and forth the beach, pool, restaurants and room, I guess. Not expecting losses since I am -mostly- enjoying the food, but hoping for no gains. We'll see.
I'm taking a day off from gym this a.m. I'll go for a long walk at beach.0 -
Welcome back @Kerryatoon !!! We have missed you too! I couldn't imagine being without my kid, mine is almost 7 and longest he was away was 3 days when I was in the hospital but he came to visit every night. Be strong! Glad you had a good trip!
@NadiaMayI Poor thing! A sick kiddo on vacation? Boo! Glad he is feeling better though! And hey, a walk on the beach in the sand can be a good workout in itself!!!
Hubby is sick so we didn't workout together yesterday so I went back to my good ole squats, lunges and calf raises throughout the day at work (10) Sets of 20 squats (10) Sets of 12 Lunges and (10) sets of 20 standing calf raises. I met my step and water goal and stayed within calories yesterday as well. My shoulders are still absolutely killing me from Tuesday so I am not sure what I will workout today lol0 -
Hubby was still sick and not wanting to workout yesterday, so I did my good ole squats, lunges and calf raises throughout the day at work (7) Sets of 20 squats (7) Sets of 12 Lunges and (7) sets of 30 standing calf raises in addition to a 10 minute ab workout . I met my step and water goal and stayed within calories yesterday as well.0

Oh no, @heatherc369 hope hubs is feeling better!
I think whatever tummy bug kid #2 had was passed on to me last night.... Not the worse I've endured and thankfully seems to be a 12 hour thing! It helps with the weight management thing, at least! Hehehe -- but seriouslyyyyyy....
I think I may need another day off today!
Have a good one, girlies!0 -
He is feeling better thank you @NadiaMayl ....but last night right after my workout I started feeling it ! Itchy throat, sniffly ...UGH Took Nyquil at about 9pm and passed the f out! And this morning I cannot tell if my whole body hurts from getting sick or from working out lol
Yesterday I was too busy for my afternoon protein bar so I ended up way under calories, I met my step and water goal and I did (5) Sets of each: 20 Squats, 12 Lunges, 30 standing Calf Raises and then Hubby made up a circuit for biceps and triceps for me with dumbells I did the circuit 3 times all with only 7 lbs lol I remember when 15 was the lightest I would do but oh well I have to restart somewhere. I did 3 Bicep moves 15 times each per circuit and 3 tricep moves per circuit. ( Hammer curls, bicep curls ...not sure what the 3rd was called but it was like a bicep curl except when you come back down you turn your palms facing down and super slowly come back down...id that makes sense? Then I did Tricep Extensions, Tricep dips and bent over tricep extension thingies lol00
