Staying On Track

Not doing real good, but not bad either. A big change has been not eating at night after dinner. That's huge for me. Just went off my Psych meds. I believe they have been causing insomnia, every day since I tapered down and then took my last Prozac I have slept through the night. The restless legs I have I think is exacerbated by the Prozac. Pramipexole is like magic calming restless legs but it has been getting steadily worse the last six months. However, to really get out there and sail I need to eliminate my dependency on medications as much as possible. Prozac gone now, Pramipexole later, loose some weight maybe I can get off the GERD med and High Blood pressure stuff.

Started out getting exercise, Eliptical (20 min) in the morning and walking 1.5 miles 1-2 times a day. Getting the walking in 3 out of 5 days, enjoying a long morning walk on Sundays up to the park and back, approx 3 miles. Really fell down on tracking my food. I will start again in earnest on Monday, it's easier and more predictable to start on Mondays, no excuses like weekend commitments, hopefully by Friday I will get the routine back.

Going sailing on the lake next weekend. Have to finish some sewing and repair the BBQ before next weekend. Should have gone this weekend but had a lot of odds and ends to take care of. As you can probably tell I am a horrible procrastinator, yet at time I can be very spontaneous. I guess that is part of my affliction.

Fall down, get back up, dust yourself off, never give up.

Alright, I'm back. Geez, if I would have stayed with it I would have been doing this for a year. Anyway, I'm human, best dust myself off and try again. Lost my job in Feb, think my weight is getting in the way of a new job so I must fix this. Not sure if anyone is listening, but that's OK, maybe coming back here will help me stay on track. What a mess I have created. I am 324 Lbs and 5'10. Not sure why I can't seem to stay focused, as it affects my sailing as well. And I am obsessive about sailing. Gets hard to recover after a weekend. I get around pretty good, but man it hurts on Monday. Starting out with minor meal changes, eliminating eating at fast food places, going back to logging food that always seems to work if I stay at it. Starting with some simple exercises from the MFP http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/6-exercises-everyone/
    Day 1 starts Today.
