Bit freaked after bleed

I had a bleed yesterday. We went to the hospital and all is well. The problem is I walked more and carried more yesterday than usual (normal steps per day= 10,000-12,000; steps yesterday = around 14,000), so I'm worried I need to slow down. That sounds easy enough, except that I have GD, which I am trying to control via diet, and exercise helps. Aaaaggghhhh!

I'm sorry that that happened to you, very scary! Can you pick a different form of exercise that it easier on your body like swimming? I'm not sure how quickly you walk but maybe you can slow your pace down and that will make a difference. There is also an herb named gymnema that some midwives use to control GD without being on "medication" worth talking with your provider about if you find your BS getting higher with the decreased exercise. What are your BS now?

I know that fear. I had a miscarriage & bleeding w now both my girls. This current pregnancy I had major bleeding & cramping at 9 weeks & was sure I was doomed. They decided it was bleeding behind the placenta & put me on modified bed rest for 5-6 weeks. Now I am able to do prenatal yoga & other exercises in the prenatal range. I'm always worried to over do it. I'm still trying to build up my daily stamina. It's tough. Take it easy momma. How far along are you?

31 weeks, so a bleed means being seen in the delivery suite at the hospital!

I've been doing well with controlling my blood glucose so far. I walk a lot because I don't drive, so it's hard to avoid. I walked extra that day because I wanted some exercise after my evening meal, which is when my blood sugars have been highest, and the obvious answer was to walk home, but then we stopped at a supermarket so I ended up carrying more too.

I'll try to listen to my body. Problem is I feel like 'normal' most of the time, not like I'm 31 weeks pregnant, thanks, I suspect, to having started this pregnancy lighter than the last.

    Thanks for the support. :flowerforyou:

Yea I bet that was super scary at 31 weeks. I hope your last 5-10 weeks go smooth for you. :-) :-) :-)
