Is it better to have Negative Calories Enabled when syncing with a Fit Bit? Kind of confused about that option!

Fitbit is telling MFP a much better estimate of how many calories you burn through the day. (when the syncing works - read the topics to see issues)

MFP uses that to correct it's estimate of your daily calorie burn, based on your guess of non-exercise Activity level and your BMR (basic metabolism).

Most days you indeed may have positive calorie adjustments show up under exercise (read the FAQ, it's not necessarily exercise) as you burn more than MFP estimated.

But some days you may burn less - and that's where negative is needed to adjust the other direction.

Simple life-long principle that can be so hard to get down.
You do more, you eat more.
You do less, you eat less.

And when trying to lose fat - you eat less than you burn by reasonable amount. But it still goes up and down.

Those adjustments are attempting to do just that - hoping you picked reasonable weight loss amount.
