Last day of vacation. Part 2 in wine country was primarily a Hot Air Balloon ride followed by a restful day of napping and walking. Today a winery or two, my pilgrimage to Bad *kitten* Coffee and then home. The back has been manageable with doing my daily may workout, lots of ice and walk breaks to keep sitting minimized. It had been a healing, restorative week.0

Went for a walk just now. Only 2 miles, but a rolling woods trail, jogging now and then to escape mosquitoes -- enough to get my minimum points in and have some activity before the heat boils over here. Was 92 yesterday, not that hot, but hotter than it ever usually gets in this area. We're 1100' above sea level with lots of woods and farms, and the prevailing breeze is from the rural parts of the state. The nearby cities are much hotter. Nothing like Kansas of course.0

Connected yesterday with my (50th) HS class reunion group. Pictures of old friends from grammar school. Nice seeing old faces after so long, but on the other hand 1/2-dozen who were close friends have passed away.0

3rd week in Las Vegas. Unfortunately it is not a vacation. 119 deg registered. Going straight to Palmdale, another desert for a few weeks after this trip. I'm too old for this job, retirement is looking nice.0
