Workout A day - for the 3rd time
Squats at bar + 15kg! Just, although I could rest a little longer and may have to to go up again Monday.
We have 1 squat rack and 1 proper benchpress and rack - plenty of inclines in various directions but none can be laid flat for bench. 2 guys were using that between them - not monopolising at all but if I had joined in it would have been a real pain taking off their weights and putting on my tiddly ones so I did my rows instead.
Form on my rows felt a bit better and I managed bar +5kg
Feeling quite pleased with myself I headed upstairs to do a little core to see if they finished with the bench. Did some pike leg raises off the hanging thingy. (25) Then 30 swiss ball crunches. Woop can still do 'em!
So feeling pretty pleased with myself I went back down and used a regular bench to do some presses with dumbells (that way I can put them down somewhere not on my chest and I don't stab/whack people with the bar)
"Hmmm pretty sure I did these with 10kg bells last time I used bells and my workout the other day on just the bar was fine so I will use 12 today" Except, I did not, I used 6kg and did 1 set of 10kg on the bells. And yes the bar may weigh the same but it is more stable, and yes I probably would have gone up by 2.5kg on the bar. But NO I cannot press 2x12kg dumbells. In fact I can't even raise them off my chest! So when 2 dudes watched me nearly smack myself in my face and came to rescue me I was mortified (and laughing) So I did my chest with 10kg bells instead lol!
