Kettlebell question

I hope it's ok to post an off topic question, but I've seen that a few of you use kettlebells. I'd like to get one, but I'm not sure how to know what weight to get. I've done a couple of kettlebell workouts with a 20# dumbbell with no problem. Do you think I should start with a 20# kettlebell, or a bit lighter or heavier? I can really only buy one right now. :) Thanks!

Try this five week program with your dumbbell and see if you can do it with excellent form and no pain. Except some DOMS.
    http://www.muscleandfitness.com/workouts/workout-routines/5-week-whole-body-single-kettlebell-workout

Here are a couple of videos that show correct form.

Watch the videos and do the GobletSquats 3 sets X 5 reps X 20 lbs slow and going for depth of squat and stretching of hips and Russian Kettlebell swing 16 sets X 7 reps X 20 lb Day 1
Next day don't skip a day ( I do them every day, on SL days I do them after every SL set) 19 sets X 7reps X20 lb Day 2 ... Add 2 sets each day until 25 sets of Russian Kettlebell swing. Then let me know what you think. GobletSquats are always the same and are a warm up.

Get the "Swing Timer" app on your phone. Set it for work 20 seconds, rest 40 seconds, reps add the GobletSquats and Kettlebell swing = 3 + 19 = 22

So, this has been a lot of fun to add to my daily routine. Have worked up to 25 sets of swings with no problems. :)

Congratulations! So now you can get the next heavier Kettlebell or use a Dumbbell. I do suggest the Kettlebell though since the grip is better and less likely to let loose and go through the TV! I just keep repeating the program and increasing the weight by 5 lbs.

Great minds...! I was able to get a 25# kettlebell today. The swings actually felt a little easier, but that could be from coming off a rest day yesterday. I appreciate you sharing your experience, thanks!!
