Good Morning BBB.
Good team training yesterday. We also spend some time preparing for a meeting scheduled for Friday with the operations director. Our K9 team leader has been MIA and the the big shots need to do their thing and find us a new team leader.
Bill - I agree, pants are overrated.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Uhemmmm.... Excuse me, but why aren't YOU and JACK the team leaders?
Lots done yesterday. Despite a 5p walk through inspection that revealed switches on wrong lights and required some ripping of drywall ceiling to fix (contractor not happy - but DW is so thats all that counts). Carpets installed and today we received bedroom furniture and rec room (basement) furniture.
I hope Lee and the gals are out wetting their line in a honey hole somewhere!
Off to inspire the world. Join me? Have a super day! ~Skip
(Sam - we miss you and hope the move is going well!)

Bill - I just want to be a minnow - I have been the de facto leader for months.0

Morning gang. Good for you for making them fix something that is what you asked for.
FIL came over for dinner last night so skipped workout. Rescheduled for tonight so need to say no to happy hour.0 -
I stopped trying to wet my line in honey holes after college, Bill.1

Morning BBB
No to happy hour? What has become of this? You go Steph, more mojo than I've had recently.
Dentist gives me a fine report! Good for another 6mos.
I baked yesterday when I got home, the original toll house choc chip cookies, delivered and met new neighbors 2 houses down. Nice couple with two boys 9 and 11 yo. and a big ol yellow lab, Duke. I figure I could pay it forward since the welcome wagon brought us baked goods a couple of different times by different folks to welcome us.
Aug will not be a record sales booking "bust" for me in my career after all. I have in my hands a PO for $38K - whew, saved the month - barely. Still down, but at least came up for some air. Prior to this I was at $980.00 yikes.
The media as we all realize makes matters worse, really. They report about the city burning down. 3 fires set, all within a 2 block radius does NOT constitute the city of Milwaukee on fire burning down. Their headline reports imo make things worse.
Doc Skip, stay on them and get what you paid for! Happy though for you its getting closer to move in day! woohoo!
Have a good day BBB! oxoxoxo0 -
Good Morning BBBers! Once again I have been MIA for 2 days. Days go by so fast and still getting acclimated at new schedule. Will try to get on later for more of a discussion.

Good Morning,
Had to come to work to find out what is going on in world. We have been told by AT & T and 2 more vendors that internet is not available in our neighborhood, but the folks next door have internet because it keeps popping up where if I knew password I could log in.
There is no cable we are told but I see boxes in right-a-way. After DW spent over 5 hours on cell phone AT & T did agree to turn on landline phone since DMIL is to be moving in and must have for monitor. Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs has been no help. DW finally decided to just go with satellite for internet and television. Satellite for internet is to be installed by next Wednesday, satellite for TV is to be setup Sunday. Moving has not been fun, but we are in just do not know where to find anything.
A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Dennis, he helped us move and painted, filled holes, spackled closets in house. Previous owners had painted walls gray in rooms but left closets and some ceilings yellow. Dennis made it possible for us to be able to go ahead and start using closets where we could put things away.
Seller requested extra time to get pool table moved, we agreed to give them till the 20th. At closing seller says he would come and get light over pool table Saturday, after thinking about it we wanted to know what he intended to replace light with, he thought we would allow him to install a $8 plain fixture for a double leaded glass and brass fixture. Since DW has told him it needs to be of equal value he has said forget it. I am expecting them to take about 20 cans of old paint with the table so I do not have to pay to dump. At closing they told us they had cleaned house, but between closings we sweep more than a cubic foot of dirt, dead bugs, nails and bits of paper and wood from storage room in basement.
And as if nothing else could go wrong while moving, landlord for WW meeting called me because TM and Leader were not returning calls to tell me we had to move meeting in less than a week and proper notice had been sent with no response. TM had been out of country and Leader/coordinator was busy and had not taken time to return calls. I reckon they will let me know where to go when I return on 27th.
Amen to pant being overrated!
I figured other honey holes were off limits once married, I may have been missing out for over 40 years.
Skip, looks as light is getting brighter at end of tunnel, hope all continues to progress.
Raine, new sofa sounds great; we are looking for sofa and couple of chairs for greatroom; so far our wants and budgets have not met; and I'm not willing to give in yet. Once internet and TV is in and we get tired of sitting in straight chairs or floor budget might get raised a little. When we started looking sticker shock was as bad on furniture as going to purchase a automobile.
Do not see postings more than 3 days pass, need to catch up. Kelly, DS2 last meal are you shooting him or something? Great news on biopsy!
Charlie, glad you are able to return to work; full or part-time?
Bob, please send cooler weather East South East.
Mary, congrats on pulling out month; 38K is better than 1K.
I know I've missed some will try and do better.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
Welcome back Sam! Best sit, relax, and have a few beers. That's a lot of stress! Here in our parts, there is a walk thru the evening prior to closing time, to make sure all is in good order, etc. Not that it always helps since our sellers pre signed and moved out of state prior to our walk thru the night before. They didn't clean and had left stuff and old cabinets we didn't want in garage. I could've forced their realtor to deal with it. In stead, the next day, we quick unloaded our trailer, loaded up the stuff they should not have left, and drove it to the dump. Irritating though, folks need to do whats expected and agreed upon! I left my old house spotless and empty!
Anyway, welcome to your new home!!!0 -
After hearing your story, Sam - I'm convinced now.....more than ever..... We need a collective BBB Happy Hour and de-stressing event. Perhaps Dennis could even find us those Hula Dancers for entertainment. ~Skip0

The contractor doesn't get paid to be happy; s/he gets paid to get it right.0

Good afternoon BBBB Friends. Glad to see Sam is back at work so he can get some rest. Congratulations on the big sale Mary. If you can't sell air conditioners in August trouble is ahead. I've had lightning zap cable boxes twice this week. Lots of late night storms in our area. I installed surge protectors this morning. DW and I are getting excited about upcoming cruise, Scandinavia and Russia.0

Spews coffee all over my keyboard with the whole honey hole thing. SHEEESH! You all never fail to please.
Hey good thoughts for my DD. We are getting ready to take our GS to St Johns University to start college. He has had issues (mostly fine finger coordination) since being revived at birth but received several scholarships to go to college. Actually DD was revived too. My DD and us grandparents are taking him from West Coast back to school and of course hoping it will all work out.
Then DD get dx w invasive ductal cell carcinoma after getting back from our family beach trip. Doesn't need more on her plate right now and will deal with it after we get back from NY.0 -
WOW, Dennis.....That sounds like an awesome cruise. How did you pick those two venues? Never done a cruise so I'll be anxious to hear your review(s)!
Good luck on road trip!0 -
Catching up on the posts
I'm drinking a beer reading about SAMs move. Just reading it stressed me.
Love the honey hole. Lmao. Good one doc b and Lou. Well played.
Glad to see you back Corbin. I'm headed to my very last open house at the high school tonight. Woo hoo ds2 is a senior.
He's applied to 2 colleges now. Yippee
Not much else going on. Having great laughs over my newly single friend and her dating life. She needs to watch out for those young studs. Ha ha ha. His age just dropped one year. It was 27 now it's 26. She's 40. Enough said.
Mary, I agree, the press is killing you
Steph. I've had too many happy hours lately. Wait wait. Can we have too many??0 -
Won't lie gonna have a beer or two of terrorism the workout. Hoping to get in at least 20 miles buy it's super windy here and home will be a rough ride.
The banter here so reminds me of my first job at a bar/pizza place. Never a dull moment.0 -
