Feeling More in Control

Ok, so I don't know about all of you guys, but with tracking my food - I feel so much more in control. It's only been 1 day of tracking and I know it's something I need to do all the time, but I feel so much better. I know what I can eat - if I have extra left for that glass of wine  or not. I also love how this shows how much sodium and fat and everything else I've consumed. I know this is going to be a HUGE help!!

What are some things that have helped you guys feel more "in control"?

I feel more in control by now knowing what's going in my mouth.. Since I've been tracking everything, weighing, and measuring I see how bad some of the things I enjoyed was. Example I love bread but now tracking it I'm like "oh heck no" I'm not wasting my calories on that! Lol

Looks like we started around the same time. I started on Thursday, and I wasamazed at how many calories I was consuming without even realizing it! Feeling so much more in control, definitely. I have low blood pressure, so actually do need to eat a lot of sodium, and I'm not really sure what to do when I stay in my calorie count but am way above what I should be in protein and fat...It's healthy fats like olive oil and avocado and hummus (and some cheese), and healthy proteins like hummus and chicken and eggs (and again cheese...love cheese!). What do you think?

But the fact that I could take out six crackers to eat with my fried eggs and stick to it, just filling myself up on some cut up veggies alongside it, really made me feel good...so yeah, I get it.
