No idea when this could start shipping, but I am crazy excited about it. It's waterproof and has an updated interface.

    I'm not impressed...

    New features:
-Color screen - ok, but doesn't really add functionality
-Waterproof - probably the best new feature. I don't swim, but it could give me an option to do so without removing the pump now. I don't know if I will do that, but at least I can now.
-Meter acts as a limited remote - I wouldn't use this anyway.

I can see how you would be excited about being waterproof if you are a swimmer.

I'm not all that impressed either. I ordered it only because my current pump is having a button error and since I need a new one anyway (button error can't be fixed) may as well get the new one. The issue for me with this is that it only uses the 3.0 ml reservior which means its bigger. I use the 1.8ml now and only fill it half way. Also it uses AA batteries which are again larger. They said that they changed the frequency of the sensor which should result is less lost sensor errors. We'll see if that is actually a noticeable change.

Long story short, if I didn't need a new pump I'd wait until April 2017 when the 670g is supposed to be released with the Enlite 3 sensor.

So, I've been using the 630G for a few weeks now. Its ok. They added a ton of safety features which probably the FDA made them do but they are pretty annoying. For example, say you want to bolus. You program the amount you want to take and hit ok. Then the pump asks you again if you are sure you want to give yourself a bolus. For nearly everything you want to do with this pump you have to scroll through some menus and confirm and reconfirm everything. This might be useful to parents of young children but I really hate this feature.

The low glucose suspend is kind of nice but it also beeps and makes you confirm which is annoying. I just want the pump to turn off and not make me confirm. Its ok if it beeps (good to let the user know its going into suspend) but in the middle of the night I just want it to turn off and leave me alone. I don't want to have to confirm that its in suspend.

Good to know. But if it is in the middle of the night and you go low, it might be useful to wake up. I sometimes wake up to a ton of alerts to clear even on my 530G because I sleep through everything. But if I wake up, I'd rather fix a low myself than let thresh suspend fix it.
