Yesterday would have been my dad's 76th b-day. RIP. I didn't notice until just now when I posted the date on here.

And speaking of yesterday and coffee ... yesterday morning I went to kiss dh goodbye and my hair dipped into my coffee cup. I didn't realize it until I stood straight again and flung scalding coffee all over my boob. #longhairproblems

Bill, I just can't picture you angry and firing people. Did you do it in an inspiring way?
Sam, you're a yoga instructor? WOW! Is there anything you can't do? You're amazing!
Steph, I hope your PP was brilliant!
Raine, BLTs are a staple meal around here, too. I have a receptionist who turned me on to them as a dinner ... I'd only considered them a lunch before. #getBLTsoutofthebox

Well, I've procrastinated getting ready long enough. Gotta go make myself look presentable. Make it meaningful, everyone!

    Mornin' BBB.

    BLTs...(drool).

Had to decide whether to go fishing or train dogs today....dogs won.

Lisa, you are such a sexy beast. Sounds like you are missing your dad. I miss my mom on her birthday and many other days as well. I would like to think she is watching and hopefully, approving.

Skip, dude. I like Dennis' mantra about not freaking on things he cannot control, but I totally get your frustration. I had a painter tell me my DW was difficult to work for...I let him finish the project but I never hired him again. Hope things smooth out for you.

Sam, unlevel mantel? Really? So does leveling the TV screen make things look odd? Wish I was flexible enough to be a yoga instructor.

    BBB OP ;-)

    Morning Gang~

My #youareanidiot rants yielded some action. We got through about 40% of punch list yesterday - though they knew they would fail, so they cancelled county inspection (no handrails installed). We are on a tough schedule to have everything done by Monday (when they start to deliver home goods). This too shall pass!

Lisa.....I spewed my morning coffee laughing at your coffee moment. Had this visual of Christie Brinkley - hair blowing and the innocent finger on lip muttering "was that me?"

I'm lucky to have my Dad....planning a trek for he and I next spring to go to Alaska for a few days. Can't recall the last time just he and I took a trip anywhere...

Lee - how's AB prepping for the big competition this week?

Sam - if you tilt your head won't the screen look straight? And no, PLEASE don't send DMIL here....I've got my hands full with the one I have

Off to inspire someone. Beginning with the Barista at SBUX!

Kelly, sure hope the tornado missed you. Video footage on news was incredible. The swath of destruction made my jaw drop. Thoughts and prayers for those who lost their homes.

    Morning gang

Visit with college friends was good. Friend who's husband was in accident is doing pretty good. Her husband has been in the burn unit for almost 4 weeks with 5 surgeries. Recovering but long road ahead. They may still have to amputate his lower leg but are hopeful. They live 3 hours from here with 2 elementary kids so a trying time.

Drunk driver hit his tractor then ran over him. Terrible.

    Good morning.
That's a horrible accident Steph. My friend list her husband to a drunk driver a few years ago while he was in the very wide street working under the hood of his car. The dd was a young kid. Many lives ruined.
All the tornadoes were up north. Pretty scary stuff. We just got a brief rain shower that lasted less than an hour while I tried out the new bible study. That, by the way, was very good!
Skip, I can only imagine. Follow the light. It's at the end of the tunnel.
Sam, can you put shims on one end to level it?
    Have a great day.

    Good Morning BBB.
I miss my parents everyday and consult them often.
Last night we had sautéd green pepper and onion with sliced round steak in brown gravy with roasted asparagus. I love fresh summer foods.
Training later this afternoon so pizza tonight - yum - any excuse!
Lisa - you crack me up :p
    Lee - happy training!
Sam - a shim and a wedge can fix anything!
Bill - breath - I know you will get them to right everything.
Steph - that is a terrible situation all around. Praying for your friend and their family.
Kelly - so glad you are okay - it remarkable that no one was was hurt.
Dennis - is your AC back up and running?
    Do good out there everyone.

    Good Morning,
TGIF Eve, I'm ready for TGIF afternoon.
Lisa, we believe you are always presentable; even with coffee dripping down cleavage, did it have cream and sugar.
It is better to work on flexibility now than not be able to care for self in old age. Yoga can build strength as well as flexibility. I have had a couple of folks drop yoga because they said it was too hard, one had had knee replacements and hip replacement and stopped doing anything after PT; other had had a stroke several years ago and did not complete his PT. Knowing my health issues I do not believe class is too strenuous, so many folks just will not move.
On TV I reckon I'll adjust TV to mantel so that it does not appear to be unlevel with ceilings being 10' most will never notice and I'll just sit there cocked eyed which will go along with DW telling me I'm a little cocked anyway.
DMIL did go home yesterday but not before get DW very upset where DW was still complaining about her once I got home. I do not know if it is going to work with the two of them in same house. Does not matter to me, I get to work, go to gym, walk around neighborhood, visit friends.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

    Good morning.

It appears that I'll be taking the high road on a variety of topics this morning.

Picking up Cecilia at the airport in a couple of hours, then back to the office.

Good morning BBB friends. So much tragedy in the world right now. Floods in Louisiana, fires in California and the earthquake in Italy. Prayers for them all. I wanted to comment on Lisa's mishap but nothing good could come out of it so I won't. Sound like all the BBB dogs are happy which is good. Sam is learning to balance his world and Skip is on the home stretch. Yes, Raine I have A/C which is a blessing. Ten day forecast is for the 90s but I am going to a much cooler climate. Yay!

Amen Dennis to the serenity prayer.

As I age, crooked things just bug me. I have to hold back from straightening someone elses crooked wall art, in their own house. LOL.

ds2 figured out as a teen quickly, if he cut the grass and didn't overlap the rows just so, he'd be out there again... a do over.

Uneven flower colors, ahem, in my gardens. I've been known to dig up and replant, just so two reds aren't right next to eachother, if not meant to be, LOL. So this mantel thing, oh my, this would be a problem.... LOL Here's another dumb example. The guy installing my basement floor was a bit of a ocd'r as well. And mentioned to me the crack of light he could see on the back of two of my basement steps, as he went upstairs, was driving him crazy. I never noticed it, until of course he pointed it out, since most times I turned off the light on my way up. I asked SO to chalk behind those steps. He gave me a look and said NO, you're moving. LOL

Happy hour, dinner for birthday celebrations for my gf tonite. I need a night out.

    Have a great day BBB

Sam, like a good little WWer, it had a WW vanilla creamer in it. I use 1 per day, always on my first cup of the day. (which, to be honest, is not a "cup" ... it's more like a trough ... )

Mary, the uneven flowers thing cracked me up.

Sam is the sexy beast ... all bendy and everything!

We had a really amazing revelation in a meeting this week that I'm shouting from the rooftops. Have you ever looked up the SP in Jets Thin Crust Chicken Parmesan pizza? OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! It's 3 per LARGE slice!!! 3! 2 for a small pizza slice! There were almost 70 people in that meeting and we went CRAZY when we looked it up on the big screen to verify! In fact, we gave the member who shared it a standing ovation. THIS is a game-changer. I'm going to Jets soon!
