Exercise not syncing with mfp

Hi everyone!
I have a fitbit flex that was given to me by a friend when she upgraded to a newer model. It syncs to the fitbit app on my phone, and I've connected the fitbit app to mfp, but it doesn't add my calories burned to my exercise. What am I doing wrong?
