    No kidding! Can't believe it's September already.

    My goals: 10 Green days (start small).
    15 workouts
    I want to try to run again too! I think.im going good to have to slowly get used to just walking again though. My followup is next week.

    This is the month the steps actually start counting, but they don't have the fitbit devices handed out to everyone yet. And my friend Amy forgot to put hers on today. OOPS! (It's not a big deal for her, she's running a 10k tomorrow. Her average steps will be fine.)

    Hey ladies! This year has gone by quickly. I love September though so it's all good. @bbinoa I hope your followup goes well, and I hope you'll be running soon. I'm lowering my Green goal for this month. I'm adopting your model. Also, thanks for the condolences. @MelissaPhippsFeagins I know you'll kick butt in the step challenge. You have me inspired. I reckon you do have to actually remember to wear the watch. Ha!

    No gym - Scout leaders meeting ate my night.

    Between work and leader meeting, I volunteered at my church's free medical clinic. We only saw 7 patients today. This may be the last week of low numbers before cold & flu season.

    Well, I have NOT been doing very well this month!! :# I decided this morning to hop on the scale only to see I've gained 5 lbs! I'm sure some is just water weight from eating whatever-the-heck I felt like, but I know some isn't. So, back I go hi-ho, hi-ho, it's calorie counting I go!

    Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. Mine was very relaxing and filled with food (LOL!!!!)

    @bbinoa I totally understand. I had to reduce my calories, and it makes me sad. Ha, ha, ha. I'm hoping most of this weight will fall within the next 4 - 6 months. We can do it!!

    Nope and nope.

    2/10, 2/15 green and workouts.

    Its a rough month so far! Lots of stress, lots of work. I had applied for another job at my company and things were looking really good but the person who had the position previously decided she wanted it back. :( I just can't seem to figure out how to manage the stress lately. My coping skills are shot. On the plus side I had my followup for my foot and it's doing well. I'm doing better than average according to my dr. He said it will take another 4-6 months to fully heal where I forget I had surgery.

    Sorry about your stress @bbinoa. I do hope you figure out a way to manage it quickly. You definitely don't want to make yourself sick. Congrats on the healing foot though! I need to read some good news.

    @Laughter_Girl thanks. I'm happy the foot is doing well. That's a plus. I think this has just been a rough year. 2 surgeries knocked me down a bit and I'm just trying to figure out how to handle stuff bc I'd normally go for a run to destress and I can't! I'll figure it out. I've been trying to do some knitting and watching Hallmark movies (I'm apparently 90 on the weekends) but it's mindless happy stuff! Lol.

    How are you doing with everything? Are you able to talk and stuff now?

    9/8, red, 12k steps, no gym
    9/9, Chevy , 14k steps, no gym (4100 steps in the concession stand and we won homecoming.)
    9/10 - green, 12k steps, gym and stadium cleanup

    9/25 green 3/15 gym I am not sure stadium cleanup isn't also a workout. 8 flights of stairs carrying garbage bags, picking up trash left behind by people who should know better. I found two socks today, not a pair, not even in the same section. Who takes off their shoes and socks at a football game? (These were big kid or small adult sizes, not baby socks. I could understand baby socks.)

    I'm confused about where I am with my goals, but I'll log for today. I'll figure out the rest tomorrow. I'm sleepy. :D The sock thing is hilarious. @bbinoa I'm doing pretty good. My voice is about 85% back to my new normal, and I can and will live with that. Next month, I have to have a tumor removed. Thankfully, it's not cancerous. Like you, I will have two surgeries this year. Up till now I have been completely healthy.

    @Laughter_Girl glad that your voice is doing better. Sorry about the second surgery, but glad it's benign.

    Yes, the sock thing is funny. I just wonder what parents are doing when their kids do these things. We are away until the end of the month, so no clean up stories (or.steps) next week.

    Yesterday does not count at all. New LED lights in the sanctuary, new sound system that was too loud in the choir monitors at my feet, and fresh cut flowers on the altar table all added up to a full blown migraine before 9:00 am. I made it through church and Sunday School (only one child came, thankfully) then skipped the Cub Scout hike. My daughter took my leader spot. I took Maxalt and spent my afternoon in bed. Less than 4000 steps yesterday. (this is why i build up big cushions when i can. Migraines are real and unexpected and knock me off my feet.)

    @MelissaPhippsFeagins Migraines suck. My husband use to get them quite frequently, but thankfully, they happen rarely now. I believe his was triggered by some food items and his sleep apnea. Changing his diet and using the C-Pap machine helped tremendously. I hope you're much better today.
