Just curious, i've been seeing a lot of studies being done on T1D's losing weight when adding type 2 drugs like victoza. I take metformin in addition to pumping insulin and havent had any weight loss with it. Just wondering if anyone has tried anything and had any luck with it

I haven't seen or heard anything about weight loss, but I've taken Metformin for many years - when I was overweight and while I've been losing. It hasn't seemed to make a difference for weight loss, in my experience.

ETA: I'm actually a "double diabetic" - or at least I was diagnosed with type 2 a few years after being diagnosed as type 1... in those 3 years, I almost tripled my weight and became obese. And that led to enough insulin resistance to be considered type 2 (in addition to having type 1). My insulin levels have reduced in the past few months to a low enough level to no longer meet the clinical criteria for insulin resistance at a type 2 diabetes level.
