Give the 10-Day Detox Diet Challenge a whirl! It is definitely a challenge (I would up that to "major b*eyotch") to eliminate processed foods, sweeteners (yes, that includes not only sugar but honey, agave, maple syrup, stevia, and artificial), dairy, grains (yes, even the whole ones), alcohol (yes, even red wine), and caffeine (yes, all of it--but frankly it's all I can do to give up coffee, I will cling to green tea).

You're free to define your own level of "clean eating", but I find the more I pare it down to the basics and follow
Dr. Mark Hyman's recommendations, the better the results.

The first couple days can feel less than stellar as you withdraw from some comfort items and your body starts throwing off toxins. Thus prepping would be in order. Start scaling down the snacks, the sugar, white flour, booze, etc NOW so your system isn't completely shocked with cold turkey on September 26. Start drinking more water.

After the first two or three days, most people experience more energy and lightness, starting to overcome stubborn weight plateaus, and clearer skin. By the end of the 10-Day Challenge, maintaining this as a lifestyle may have tremendous appeal.
