Cheese Crispy Things

My husband made up this recipe, they're really great (although not as "crispy" as we wanted)

100g / 3.5 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated
25g / 1.5 Tbsp almond meal or four
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Heat oven to 400 degrees F
Pulse in a food processor until a coarse meal forms
Use a tablespoon to scoop into 12-14 mini muffin tin cups (metal is better, it "fries" the cheese)
Bake 10 minutes in hot oven
They're soft when they come out, so cool completely in the tin before removing.

They are excellent dipped in sour cream or guacamole

Another variation we made left out the almond flour and they were definitely crispier, if you're wanting a crunchy snack.
Final variation was the one where we left out the almond flour and added in cooked diced bacon (I want to say 30 grams?) Holy yummoly.
