The talk-show celebrity and 10% owner of Weight Watchers has seen $117 million in wealth vanish as shares of the company have crashed 66% from their high notched November 2015 on enthusiasm over her involvement with the company. Shares of Weight Watchers are down another 76 cents, or 7%, to $9.61 Tuesday after the company said it is replacing its CEO. The value of the company has dropped $1.2 billion in value since the peak hit after Winfrey came onboard.

I hope they can get back on track. I do still believe in the program and the help its gives to so many.

Lisa, you should apply for the opening !!! :)

I'm still upset that WW dropping P+, a proven system that I understood for something new which I don't. But I'm sure I'm the only one that feels that way. I'm probably the only one that ever used their bulletin boards too. The only reason I ever go to their website anymore is to plug in my LT code for free eTools and I'm not sure why I bother. Needless to say I am not an Ambassador. They left me, I didn't leave them.

Kinda like Dennis. The new system works OK for me as I am not overboard on carbs/sugar but P+ was just fine. I put in free etools mostly like merit badges to credit myself.

Mary, you are not the first person to suggest this. :)

Truthfully, I am a huge proponent of the new program. I believe it is completely superior to the old one in a bajillion ways, first and foremost because it does more to promote better overall health, and secondly because of its holistic nature of which I believe thoroughly. Human beings are not compartmentalized ... everything affects everything, and I love that we address more of that now. Last night I led a meeting for those dealing with grief, which is a perfect example of that holistic thing. How we deal with things like that, our overall mental and emotional wellness, absolutely affects our food and fitness choices, and its about time that we embraced it.

That said, I did NOT want to change from Points Plus. I was perfectly content. And I cannot eat the same way I used to when I was on Point Plus. Smart Points required me to change my eating patterns, which, I learned, is the point. This program doesn't validate our old eating habits ... it creates healthier ones. Less saturated fat. Less sugar. More lean protein, fruits and veggies. Yes, I can still have sweets. But I can't have them as often or in as big of portions, and that's the POINT.

And the feedback we've gotten as a company on that is threefold:
    * members are telling us that they are experiencing less pain (probably because of the reduction in sugar)
    * members are telling us that their cravings are reduced, which makes it more sustainable
    * members are losing 15% more weight than any program we've ever introduced

That's pretty powerful stuff. It took me a while to come around, but I'm there.

    I'm not there.

Short version? Momentum and Points and PointsPlus gave me tools and information on how to manage my weight, but SmahtPoints tells me how to manage my weight. I don't react well to being told what to do - but the current program crosses that boundary in my opinion.

Eat your dárn peas Charlie!!! Yea most days I can eat the same way I did on Pointsplus but I think the extra penalty for carbs makes no sense beyond the penalty we already had. When I am very active I DO need more carbs for sure.
