Muscle quality is a measure of the strength of your muscle, relative to its size. Skulpt uses Composition Myography (CM) technology to send a small current directly through your muscles. Since the current flows differently in muscles based on their composition and muscle fiber size, Skulpt analyzes the flow of the current and evaluates the quality of your muscles. The muscle quality scale runs from 0 to 100, with the average being around 50. Higher Muscle Quality scores correlate with stronger, leaner, more fit muscles. Knowing your Muscle Quality, and working to improve it, can be really useful for your overall well-being.

Your score can be ranked into one of five fitness categories:
0-20 MQ: Needs Work
20-40 MQ: Fair
40-60 MQ: Good
60-80 MQ: Fit
80-100 MQ: Athletic

The fat percentage measurement for an individual muscle is driven
primarily by the subcutaneous fat over the specific region you’re
measuring.
