Bluetooth can not find fitbithr

Hi. I have had my fitbit for a while now, and within the past month I have had to downgrade from an iPhone 5s to an iPhone 4. Sadly enought for this past month, my Bluetooth can not find my fitbit but it can find various other things. I would think it would let me though, because I am able to download the app for my phone, so that means they should be compatible right?

    Sadly, not at all.

    The app doesn't know what your device is until it syncs, so it has to install first.

    And if it can't sync because the iPhone isn't new enough BT version that your device requires - then it'll never know.

    Fitbit has page of what BT version required for different devices, and what major phones fit that description.

    5s was BT 4.

    4 is Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR wireless technology.
