I started on phentermine in mid-May and lost over 10 pounds during the first two weeks. Then it slowed to almost none. That's when I decided I had to add in some exercise. I started walking nearly every morning for 30-35 minutes, but it got harder to do when the sun started coming up later and later and I have a 30-minute commute to get to work by 8am. Then my mother-in-law gifted me her treadmill that she no longer uses. It has made so much difference! I can start earlier and the best part is I actually walk longer because I've got my laptop with Downton Abbey playing while I walk. The walk goes so much faster plus the treadmill measures time, distance, calories burned and even my heart rate. I've also tried to add in an arm workout with weights, but I'm lazy about that part--it's not nearly as enjoyable as mindless walking while watching my favorite TV show.

Walking and weight lifting are my hands down favorites. My treadmill is my backup. I have an elliptical but I always end up going back to the treadmill if I can't workout outside.0

First I would like to say congrats on your initial success.
I started back in February and my experience was much like yours so I decided to add some exercise to turn it up. I started on the treadmill but I soon added in the elliptical to my routine. Fast-forward to today and I use the treadmill as an intense 10 min warm up and then spend the next 45-60 min on the elliptical. My typical burn is around 700 cals for a 60 min workout. I get up at 330am and go to the gym to do my workout with enough time to come home shower and eat before leaving at 630 to go to work. I also have a 30 min commute to work. I do this routine twice a week and go to the gym after work 3 days a week to lift weights. Fitness comes down to dedication and making long term lifestyle choices. I have lost 56lbs since Feb while changing my body composition and greatly improving my health. I am glad that you have found a system that works for you I hope that you are able to continue to make progress toward your goals. My favorite exercises are squats and bench press.
