Activity syncing FitBit to MyFitnessPal

I have a brand new FitBit Charge 2 (with HR monitor). Is it possible to get activities like strength training, cycling, hiking, walking, etc. that are monitored with the FitBit to sync with MyFitnessPal? The calories burned for those activities are not appearing in MyFitnessPal. Also, if I log them manually, they show up in FitBit double-counted. Is there any way to turn off the writing of fitness data to FitBit from MyFitnessPal? I look forward to any clarification on these two questions.

Thanks,
Chris

I would recommend that you read the FAQ found in the stickies. It answers lots of questions. Here's a handy link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10098937/faq-syncing-logging-food-exercise-calorie-adjustments-activity-levels-accuracy/p1

The general advice here is to log all your food in MFP and all your exercise in Fitbit. Then, if you want a wall post about your exercise, do a manual post that includes the details you want to include, rather than depending on MFP's automatic posting.

Fitbit only sends your step count (which MFP just displays) and your total Calories Burned to MFP (and weight and water, I think, but I don't log water so I'm not sure about that). MFP uses the Calories Burned number to calculate your Fitbit Calorie Adjustment. If you're not getting that, then you need to troubleshoot the connection between your accounts.
