Sorry I've been gone for so long. Having a 10 month old and being prego has been rough lately. :) I'm doing great, 20 weeks tomorrow and definitely showing. I am wearing all maternity pants and started with maternity shirts last week. I'm SOOOOO much more comfortable now then trying to squeeze into pants with belly band and non maternity shirts.
I haven't gained much weight as far as I can tell but I wasn't weighed at my last appointment, it was just the half way ultrasound.
Hope everyone is doing well. Anyone else not finding out baby's gender? We held off with our first and kept our names a secret too and I LOVED IT!!
Saw our little one last week and we are so excited to welcome him/her to the world!!

@amgreenwell I'm at 21 weeks and started wearing maternity clothes a while ago even though it is my first. They're just so much more comfy, right? Haha. Also... fun new wardrobe lol. We are also not finding out the baby's gender. I'm worried that the ultrasound tech said "he" even after being told several times we didn't want to know. I hope it was just a slip of the tongue and that she just refers to all babies as "he". I didn't ask for clarification so technically I can't be sure.

So now every appointment I'm going to LEAD WITH IT! Don't tell me the gender!

We have definitely been blabbing our names around but we haven't actually settled on any yet. Well... I have. But the hubs hasn't lol. We'll see how we feel in a couple of months.

23 weeks and still wearing my regular clothes, although jeans are only comfortable for a few hours and not so much if I sit!
I'm feeling it now and now I remember why I hate being pregnant. Ugh.
Dr yesterday said she completely forgot I was pregnant until I mentioned it. It's still not that noticeable as I come up on 6mo.

So everyone.. how far along are you and can you feel the baby move at all yet?

I'm 22 weeks today and I still haven't felt the baby. I have an anterior placenta so I guess it'll take a bit longer. Curious what everyone else is feeling.

@VeryKatie I have felt the baby here and there and a few kicks lately harder than others but nothing substantial. usually after I've had something to eat or some juice in the morning. This is my second so I was expecting to feel a lot more movement a lot sooner, but it looks as though I'm on track for the same as last pregnancy. I'm 20 weeks today!!

Also, to comment on your earlier post, we didn't find out the gender with my first child and the dr. and nurses were great about it. My file had a permanent sticky on it that said THEY AREN'T FINDING OUT and they never even told the dr. what I was having so he was just as surprised as us when our little girl was born.

@VeryKatie I'm 21 weeks with #2 and have felt movement for several weeks now, but they're definitely stronger! You can see my belly move when she kicks sometimes. My husband felt her kick a good one around 19 weeks, but hasn't been able to feel much lately. She's doing with our first daughter did - she'll kick like crazy and then when he tries to feel, nothing. I've heard that an anterior placenta can make it more difficult to feel it, so hopefully soon you'll be able to!

My movement is insane. My daughter was so calm and this one - my son! - is just constant movement that you can feel from the inside, outside, and even see!

I feel the movement! YAY!!! just in a circle lol. It's really clear where my placenta is based on baby movement. Wouldn't have needed the ultrasound!

Currently 24w5d and up about 9-10 pounds. My doctor said I'm doing great with weight (they're showing a 15 pound gain! what!?). I know I'm pregnant and I'm supposed to be gaining, but does anyone else feel defeated when they see the number increase? Logically I know that its a good thing and the baby is growing and its not skyrocketing... but I worked SO HARD to get the pounds off from the last baby (currently 19 months old) its just a little defeating. Am I the only one?

@Hurricane_C I'm 25 weeks today and it seems like my emotions about my weight are a balancing act. As long as I only gain about 1 lb a week I feel fine, but those weeks where I gain more than that I start wanting to watch my intake more. So I'm not really feeling defeated, but it's something that crosses my mind often. Maybe just try to remind yourself how amazing it is what your body is doing! That always helps me. Besides, 10 lbs at 25ish weeks is pretty good for weight gain! Right on track for only the minimum weight gain of 25 lbs.

@VeryKatie thanks. Some days are worse than others. I haven't been very mindful of what I've been eating so that may be contributing to the feelings (not to mention pregnancy hormones!) I've done side by side comparisons of pregnancies and I'm so much thinner (face - belly is much more prominent this time around) than last time. I'm starting 20 lb less than last time too but after all that hard work it's just kinda depressing.

@Hurricane_C If it helps, since you're on track for only about 25 lbs of gain, it will probably drop off a lot faster than last time. It might not be so difficult this time!

@Hurricane_C you are not the only one. I gained 34 lbs with my first baby who is now almost 11 months, I lost only about 15 of that before getting pregnant again and so far I've already gained almost 20. I'm trying to really watch it from here on out although dr. says I'm more than perfectly fine and healthy and right on track. I want to get back to pre-pre- pregnancy weight when this is all said and done and it is further away right now than ever!!
Keep your chin up and remember that healthy weight gain is good for the baby and you. We are growing incredible humans and it is going to take a toll on our weight. Hopefully it can drop off quickly once we get to working out again.
