Joined the gym today, did a bunch of random weight machines, and decided I needed some order with my workout. A lot of questions and research led me here. I'm a runner but I need strength training in my life. Give me all the advice you can (how to start, what to do, what not to do, what to wear, what to eat, etc.)

there's a sticky section at the top with a straightforward, non-sexist-*kitten* summary of the info on the stronglifts site.
take a look through that and then see what other questions you have. aside from that, feel free to wander around, check our daily-workout thread for an idea of what others in the group are doing, etc.0
