So i'm in an all womans football league. I work the line and play rush and guard.. with the league i'm in we can make contact as long as we're within a certain distance from them. My big question is how can I work on my arms strength at home besides doing push ups... I despise those suckers and I really want to put some girls on their butts instead of push them with my leg strength...

Thanks for the time :)

ps.. add me if u want !

bicep curls - even if it is just with a gallon jug of water (assuming you don't have any weights)
should press - use the same gallon of water
    Tricep Dips

even planks - strengthen your core and it will help you knock them on their butts

Cool! I also play in a flag football league that is semi-contact. Been playing for 17 years.

Push ups, Tricep Dips, dumbbell exercises, pull ups, besides core exercises are all good. You really want full body strength to get the best hits, so squats, lunges, and the like will help.

I happen to do the Strong Lifts routine at home (barbell and weights), but I'm assuming you don't have that type of equipment.

All the suggested ideas will help. Just make sure the weight is a challenge and you'll get stronger.:drinker:

Do you have access to any equipment - dumbbells, barbell, other weights (plates, kettlebells, etc), medicine ball, etc?

Other exercises, some already mentioned: pullups/chinups, bodyweight rows, handstand pushups (to also work your shoulders), try pushup variations - incline, decline, explosive, offset. And work on your core, it'll help you tremendously! Weighted squats (weight on your shoulders/back) or lunges will help your core, as well as all over body.

PS, it's also a lot more about technique than strength...stay low, hit 'em low!
