Gggaaaahhhhh silly MFP cut my previous post off.... hehehe I was just saying:
I hope @heatherc369 is safe from the hurricane and hope to hear from her soon.
My weekend was hectic, soccer on Saturday always feels like it takes away the eeekend.
Sunday was fun, we had friends over, played board games, much food and wine. Hehe entertaining and very full days get my anxiety up at night and end up having a bad sleep, fidgety and shaky, but other than that, had an enjoyable Sunday.0 -
I hope @heatherc369 is safe as well.
@NadiaMayl sounds like you had a fun Sunday with friends, games and food.
I've been eating so bad the last 1.5-2 weeks. I've been drinking sooooo much soda. Yesterday when I went grocery shopping I bought 3 bottles of Zero Water, the carbonated fruit-flavored water. I had the regular cherry yesterday and it was pretty good. I had some of the black cherry today, but it kind of tastes like cough syrup. ew. I'm really looking forward to trying the Fuji Apple. That sounds good! I'm hoping this gives me the fizzy and sweet I'm craving, even if it is aspartame. I would rather avoid aspartame, but the amount I'd be taking in with this would have negligible affects on me compared to full sugar soda seeing that I'm diabetic.
I did give in to an old favorite....a big bag of cheddar cheese Combos (the fake cheese filled pretzel bites). They're so good. But sooooooooooo many calories and carbs. I'll finish this bag then I'll be good without them for another couple years.
I walked over 5000 steps yesterday! 1.75 miles. That's pretty exciting for me.
Hope everyone's week is starting off on the right foot.0 -
All is well, we are safe, my eating has sucked and checking in and exercising ugh0

I continue to struggle with being able to get my workouts in the past couple weeks, got alot going on and it's hard to get the motivation back. I surpassed my step and water goal, ate within my calories and managed to get in 10 set of each : (20) Squats (12) Lunges (100) Calf Raises....and did some bi's n Tri's n Shoulders (3sets of 15 Bicep curls, hammer curls. Tricep extensions, triceps dips and Arnold Presses) #goals #abs #UnderConstructuon #WontQuitTilImFit #fitchick #fitness #weightloss #iwantmybodyback #nomorefat #MFP #dedication #commitment #dontwishforitworkforit #determination #timetotone #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #girlswholift #girlswithmuscle #workinprogress #showmetheguns0

@heatherc369 looks like you had a pretty good day. I'm with you in the fact that I'm struggling with motivation.
I'm off the charts out of control with my eating. I have gained back quite a few lbs, and now I'm afraid to even step on the scale. I'm so upset and angry with myself, but I just can't get my groove back to change things around again. Pretty much feeling like a failure. I'm due for my period any day now that I think about it. That's probably part of the problem these past few days. I crave, eat too much, etc. and still feel hungry at the end of the day. I'll wait and see if this funk passes once it's over.

@kerryatoon it's good that you have someone to work with you and keep you motivated. the pot's growing...that's a good motivation too!
@heatherc369 you're doing fantastic. what is your step goal? (I think I asked that before, but I'm not sure what the answer was or if you didn't see it.)
@NadiaMayl how are you doing?
So far the Clear American carbonated fruit flavored water has been keeping me off the soda. My weekly morning average glucose reading has been going up for the past 2 weeks. It's back to where it was 3 weeks ago. A couple of experts say it's because I'm not having a bedtime snack (and a healthy one). They said a snack at night lowers the readings in the morning. I don't know. I hadn't been snacking at night when it was lower. I don't know.
I can feel the walking I do at work in my hips. I've only gone 3 times, and they've been days apart, but I can still feel the soreness in my hips from all the walking around. I usually do 3500-4500 steps during work, which for me is a ton.
I haven't been measuring, weighing or logging the past couple weeks, and I gained weight. I also feel blaaaah. Gotta get back in the habit of doing that.
Hope you all have a great day!

REPOST: I accidentally posted this in last weeks update thread.. was tired last night
Good evening my pretties! I'm doing well. Been logging for 10 days so that's good. Was under cal goals today and went to lift tonight. Felt really good! I am chugging water right now like I've never tasted it..lol. Will be making a new challenge for myself with the lady at work. Last week we both had one day where we went over goal so there's already $30 in the pot! Eeek! I'll tell you all what the new challenge is tomorrow. Got a good workout in.. Definitely didn't lose all my progress during my month off lifting. Here's my workout:
.75 mi walk/run treadmill
5x5 squat 100lbs
5x5 ohp 55lbs
Deadlift 1x5 115lbs, 1x5 135lbs
Finished with 20 stories on stair climber
I hope I don't hurt as much as I did last time. Looking forward to getting back where I wasn't ever sore.
Hope everyone is doing well and I'm so so glad to be back with you.

So, busy and crazy like everyone out in this world! I have been dealing with some anxiety issues and finally dragged my bahunkas to the doctor. I've always had anxiety issues but have been somewhat manageable. The last few months though, have been unusually harder to manage. I also started birth control around the same time to help with some girlygirl fun, so I am thinking it's related.
Doctor thinks it is the start of perimenopause-yay-! And would like me to start on Celexa to even out the anxiety. I took antidepressants a few years back and the initial side effects kicked my *kitten!!!! Bbbwwwwaaaa..... i know once side-effects settled down it was what I needed, just that part of my anxiety right now is illness or being out of commission, and I'm kinda scared of the few days of debilitation from starting Celexa!!!
Assnnnyyyywwwaaayyy... its all ok and it will all work out!!!
Haven't worked out all week as I'm just getting fully out of stupid cold. Water and calories are on target though!
How's everyone else doing? @heatherc369 , back to routine postMatthew?
@Kerryatoon , seems like you've restarted well!! You go girl!!
@azlisalou how's work coming along?0 -
@NadiaMayl I totally get you on the meds and side effects. I have bipolar disorder, schizzo-affective disorder and anxiety disorder. When I first started taking meds they had to change them up so many times to find the right "cocktail" they call it that didn't have bad effects. This last set of meds kicked my bahunkas in the beginning, but it is settled down now. Just watch yourself, take notes, and report anything bad to your doctor. Wish I was in perimenopause! lucky duck! lol
@kerryatoon those seem like very good goals. I hope you win...but not until the last week so you get the most out of your challenge with your co-worker.
@NadiaMayl my job is going ok. Earlier in the week I went in one day and it was TERRIBLE. I made so many mistakes, and the more I made the more flustered I got. I just knew I was irritating the manager, and I had a panic attack right there on my shift. I did my best to hide it, and I almost burst out in tears multiple times. He sent me home early because he said he was overstaffed. So this morning I went in and was talking to the manager on duty (who also happens to be the other manager's mother!) and told her I think I was really irritating Jordan. She said, "You were." wow. Punch to the gut. She said he was overwhelmed because he was the only manager on and he's young and doesn't always handle things the best. so now I know he sent me home so he could get rid of me. Today was a much better day. I came home feeling like, "I can do this." I only made a few mistakes, and for the most part I think I did good. The manager did tell me though that I need to be happier. That's frustrating. I'm very happy with the customers, talk to them, etc. But when I'm cleaning I'm not bouncing around. That's just not who I am. I'm very low key. So I'm not sure how to change that. Thanks for asking and thanks for letting me rant.
I went waaaay over on carbs today...141 over! yikes. But I'm good on calories. Damned soda today. I'm drinking Clear American the rest of the day. My body is sore. I'm not used to so much physical activity. I'm walking like a 90 year old!1
