Repeat Ophender

Hi all,
I've been on and off Phen for maybe 15 years. Every time I stop taking it I totally pile the pounds back on. Sometimes I gain every pound back, sometimes not.

I'm starting back up on Phen today. I've gained 50 pounds since I went off of it last year!

I know, I know. Relearn how to eat healthy, exercise, care about yourself and your health. You know - CHANGE for crying out loud. That's how I'm going to stay at a healthy weight after I go off the phen. I've been diagnosed with BED (binge eating disorder) and working with a therapist for a few months now and she has helped a lot and given me hope. I've taken a few pounds off just trying to change my thinking about, well, everything.

I feel like I'm taking the easy way out by going back on Phen - yet again. But it WORKS! Well, if you read this, thank you for listening to me vent. Any similar experiences or encouragement welcome!

Can't say I've been through the same thing but I highly recommend going through the book The Beck Diet Solution. It's a book on cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches you how to change your thinking about food and also how to maintain your lost weight. There are steps she has you work through each day to "practice" changing your thinking. Very worthwhile!
