Not to be crass, but it's all about gas. Mine has been bad since VSG. I mean: BAD. I've tried various OTC pills, tried to associate it to particular foods (eggs? no. probiotics? no.), even discussed with my surgeon's associate at my 6 month and 12 month visits. Her cut: "Not a reported side effect of VSG." But I'm telling ya, I never had this problem before VSG, and it's gotta stop. Does anyone have any insight?

I have found that it is typically because food (especially carbs) enters your intestines before being fully digested... Undigested food in your intestines is a disaster - it is "fermenting".
Some things to try
1) lower carbs
2) chew more - digestion starts in your mouth. chew your food into oblivion before swallowing
3) dont drink while eating. Not supposed to anyway, but basically you need the food to stay in your stomach awhile in order to have some time to digest. If you drink, it has to go somewhere since you have so little room.
4) try activated charcoal
5) cut back on fruit

I've figured out the problem: it's my daily Premier Protein chocolate shake. Switched to Unjury with almond milk, and the problem cleared up immediately. IMMEDIATELY. I suspect my previous mild milk sensitivity has increased since the surgery. WHEW!!1

Lol - glad you figured it out. I had a similar issue with nature valley protein bars (https://www.naturevalley.com/protein/)... I assume there is some erithrytol or something in it that is the actual culprit, but I just know I cant eat those!
Glad you figured it out. If you find one more thing that does it, compare the ingredients list for commonalities - may save you some embarassment and time in the futureif you know what to avoid!
