Accountability is defined as "the quality or state of being accountable; especially : an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions".

How do you make yourself accountable for exercising and eating healthy? The most effective way is to find a fitness accountability partner. Someone to stop you from eating the wrong thing or to push you to exercise. You can have several people, which in my opinion a great idea. The more people you have willing to encourage and push you the more likely you succeed.

Keeping a food and exercise journal is also very helpful in keeping yourself accountable. When you see how many calories you consumed in one day then you will know what to change. You need to look at what you eat, how much you eat, and how often you eat. You need to be aware of your calories, fat, carbs, and protein.

Tracking your weight and measurement is also very helpful in keeping you accountable. Keep a log of your measure your arms, legs, hips, thighs, waist, and chest along with your weight. Just do not let the scale discourage you. It is a slow process. You did not gain that weight in one day or one week and you will not lose it that fast either. The visual of weight lost will help you focus. But sometimes you don't lose weight you gain muscle so you do not see any results on the scales but you will in your measurements!

There will be times when you don't eat healthy or exercise. Just don't give up jump right back in and keep trying! Never give up on yourself, you are worth all the hard work and effort!

Let's keep each other accountable! ;)
