Weekend Plans?

I've got several things to work on this weekend. First, I'm emptying boxes in my living room. That's been an ongoing process since we sold our other house in April. I've got a round coffee table and a kid's bike to take to Goodwill. I still haven't replaced my broken futon but it hasn't stopped the teenagers from sitting on it!

Second, I started raking leaves last night. I only finished about a third of the yard. We need to mow one more time before winter sets in, and I know the grass in under there somewhere! And dog poop. I'm sure there's lots under the grass and leaves!

Last, I'm gonna eat something yummy! I'm in a science fiction book club with some of the "band moms." Our kids have all been in marching band together, and we've managed to stay in touch. We're meeting at a restaurant in the old Boone County jail! In fact, I should get off MFP and finish reading the book! Only 5 more chapters...

My husband is painting the house, so I guess I will be watching him on the ladder. I get uneasy watching him high on a ladder. Sunday is my brother's birthday. My sister in law usually makes pies or some kind of cakes with fruit which are delicious, but its not my weakness, so I can be satisfied with just a small piece. Hopefully she will do that tomorrow and not end up making a black forest cake or anything with chocolate.... then I might be in trouble I have done good this week and I dont want to blow it because its the weekend.
