Thanksgiving - what ya doing?

Okay I'll start.
We are escorting sailors from Great Lakes Naval Base into town for a day of food and festivities.
After that we are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house for a small group - 8 people.
Menu: Appitizers: veggies, chips & dip and Italian deli meat hand wrapped around cheese. Dinner: oven roasted turkey, sausage and mushroom stuffing, fresh cranberries, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli and garlic and, of course, sweet potatoes. Dessert: warm pecan pie with ice cream, pumpkin rolls and brownies.

Damn, Raine! Can I come in the night before and spend the day with you and Tom??? AWESOME!
I'm at VFW at 7a with a crew to peel potatoes and get three oven roasted turkeys and two glazed hams in the oven. I'll pop out at 2p to spend time with DMIL/DFIL/DW for dinner at home. We're having roasted Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, stuffing, and cranberries....
At 4p - I head back to put final preps into the dinner we are serving at 5p. As of today, we had 61 people signed up (membership, community, and single serviceman from Quantico MCB and Fort Belvoir Army Post - both pretty close proximity to our VFW).
I'll eat dessert there (Pineapple cake made by one of our Auxiliary members)!
Oh yea - who can forget......Redskins take on our nemesis Cowboys at 4:30 and draft beers are special $1 a piece.....

We will go to my sisters for thanksgiving. I think the count is 19. Not sure of menu but she is a chef so it will be awesome.
I have to work 12 hours between Thursday and Friday at our store that is about 45 minutes away. Will get hotel room for at least Thursday. Not sure if we will stay all weekend or not.0 -
We've been invited to a neighbors house. Four couples enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving dinner together.0

Sounds like everyone is going to have a great day. We do all have a lot to be thankful for! I include this group, as well! I wish you all a very blessed Happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey with gravy
Mashed tators
Stuffing
Sweet potato, butternut squash, apples, l peel/cube all, with lil brown sugar, cinn, 1/4c no sugar added apple juice in the crock pot.
Green beans, mushrooms, onions sauteed in a lite soy sesame oil sauce
Scalloped corn casserole
cranberries
pumpkin ice cream torte ( made last night)
pumpkin pie with real whip cream
apple pie with ice cream
wine
beer (lites and ipa's)
vodka cranberry martini's
Skip drop a good word, lol, I have a open proposal for equip. at Fort Belvoir !
Last day of work for me today, then not back in office until next Tuesday! I will spend black Friday and the weekend decorating the house and yard if I get that far. I hope to not go anywhere near any department stores. Menards, if anything LOL.0 -

Everyone brings food.
I'm pooped. The house is a wreck. As of right now, I don't care. Tomorrow after work I'll clean here and get stuff set up.
