Weekly Calories in VS Out - Confused

Options
Hi Everyone,

I've recently become a little more serious about tracking my calories and upon over-viewing my weekly summary from FitBit I became a little confused.

My latest stats are:
19933 cals burned
9545 cals eaten

what does the plan deficit mean?
-5250 plan deficit

and then the total for Calories in VS out is -5138

Somehow I would have assumed that my Calories in VS out would be over 10000 calories?

Thanks for any enlightenment you can offer.

The weekly plan deficit is taking off the amount that equals the weight per week you told Fitbit you want to lose (so 5250 calories for 1.5 pounds). Once it adjusted for the plan, it calculated that you burned an additional 5138 calories on top of that amount.

Oh thank you. That makes more sense now.
