Breastfeeding/Pumping calories

Hi all!
My nugget will be 6 weeks old on Thursday. I go back to work in a couple weeks so I started pumping to have some on reserve.

I know exclusive breast feeders burn about 500 calories a day. I usually log 450 as I'm not sure she eats 25 oz a day - shes small and a slow gainer. It took her 3 weeks to clear birth weight (after 4 wt checks Pediatrician has determined she is fine, "this is just what Emelia is doing right now").

Does anyone who EBFs plus pumping add that in after? Or do you just consider it part of 500? When I first started I was only getting an extra ounce or so a day, but now if I'm extra diligent about pumping every 30 minutes after she finishes, I've gotten upwards of 8 ounces. Thats almost 200 calories above what she is eating and I want to make sure I'm getting enough too.

I think everyone is so different and you have to find what works for you. Sadly for me, I dont seem to be able to eat any extra calories for breastfeeding and lose. Good luck!
