Killer doom band from Las Vegas - Demon Lung

My home town is not really much of a metal hotbed (Righteous Pigs and Curl Up And Die were notables), but now we have a legitimate entry into the doom arena.
Demon Lung just put out their 1st LP on Candelight, and it was engineered by the one and only Billy Anderson (who did Sleep's Dopesmoker, among countless others).
Fans of Candlemass, Cathedral, and Trouble take note. I caught these guys live a few months ago and instantly made me wish they had a CD out. Now they do and it's every bit as good as I'd hoped. They just added a 2nd guitarist to beef up their live sound too. Keep an eye out for them, I believe they'll be doing US tour in fall or Spring 2014.

Usually not a big fan of Doom metal from the states, but this is not bad! Will have to keep an eye out for them when they tour next yr.0
