Today is the day! Today is the first day of 6 weeks of 5 workouts and 5 rides per week. The inspiration for the challenge is from the fact that I head south for my show season in 6 weeks and I want to be more fit and slimmer so I feel my best and give my horse the athletic rider he deserves :)
I realize that this time of year is not ideal for those who have weather issues that make it impossible to ride some days, but I'd really love to have some friends join me in this challenge as best they can. So, if you want to set your own plan to commit to (it doesn't even have to involve riding...just join me by making your own plan!) and take this journey with me, I'd love to have you participate. Let's use this thread for our "before" posts to state our commitments and goals so we can look back and see our progress!
I'll go first:
I commit to: 5 workouts and 5 rides per week, log everything that goes into my mouth and keep calories at my goal, no alcohol, and to post my daily activities to hold myself accountable.
My goals are: to lose 6 pounds, to be able to fit into my favorite show breeches and to be able to move in my show jacket without the buttons popping off ;)
My inspiration: Show season! To be an athletic rider for my horse who tries his heart out for me. To start the new year off right, leading to a healthier and happier me.
Current weight: 169.5 pounds

    Very awesome!

I commit to: 5 workouts per week and remembering why I am doing this. I will focus on eating better and not allowing the 'I will do it tomorrow' thoughts to enter my head.

My goals are: To lose 8 pounds in this 6 weeks, fit into my jeans without the created muffin top from them being a little too tight and improve my riding by being in better shape.

My inspiration: How I look in the saddle, how my clothes fit and that I have much lower energy levels lately.

    Current weight: 165 pounds

I will commit to : 3 workouts a week either yoga or walks. Ride when possible.
My goal: Build muscle tone and stamina for riding. (Just finished chemo 6 months ago so real stoked to just be riding again)
My inspiration: Planning some new trail rides with my friend in the spring and developing my horse further.
    Maintain current weight.

Fantastic Idea!!! I am all in...... :) I will post my show jacket pics later tonight... I am lucky enough it has a zipper under the buttons so it wouldn't be so traumatic for the spectators!

@cessi0909 I am borrowing your very well put goals..... I think they are fairly global.

I commit to: 5 workouts per week and remembering that its small victories and little steps to move forward and not getting lost in the big picture. I will meal prep at night and log every day and not allowing the 'I will do it tomorrow' thoughts to enter my head.

My goals are: To develop the healthy habits needed to lose weight and improve my cardio so a 14 jump course with immediate jump off doesn't require an oxygen tank.

My inspiration: Starting the new year with consistent rounds and pushing the comfort bubble up to the next level

Current weight: about 35lbs more then it should be!

No beer for me, which is a huge challenge this time of year when there are all kinds of yummy seasonals. We can do it tho!

I am doing Keto, which is pretty much NO SUGAR and low low low carb (20-50). I am silly for doing it before Christmas...but I want my jiggly parts gone.
