Let's talk about this quick 1 minute video I made for you.

How flexible are you with your movement?

How do you typically manage things when life gets crazy or you're simply not feeling the planned workout?

Yes! Thanks for sharing the pretty view. 4 yrs ago I moved with my husband and daughter to CT. We now have access to trails and I love it! I can be at a paved walking/bike trail in about 5 minutes. On daysbi don't have a lot of time I bring my dog there. It's really pretty and flat. 15 minute drive North and I'm at a gorgeous State Park. The trails there range from easy (can do with my 5 yr old) to very challenging with amazing views. I totally agree about the value of having some regular meditative time.
I love to cook so am always doing big cook-ups. Last year, we invested in a chest freezer and it is fully stocked with portioned home cooked meals.

Awesome! Very similar setup here actually. My house is actually enveloped by a county park that's littered with awesome trails, a creek, and views. Some of the trails tie right into my property. I'm out there every single day.

Do you have a structured workout program that you subscribe to?

Yes, I'm doing PHUL 4 days a week & one day of Glutes work. I'm a lifter, primarily. I do regular walking & maybe 20-30 minutes of body weight cardio after lifting, using the FitStar app. I have noticed an increase in my cardiovascular health since doing regular walking and cardio activity. My blood pressure has rarely been high but it has gone to the lower end of normal. Resting heart rate is very good. Certain moves, like wall handstands & back planks used to be hard for me to do and I'm pleased I can do them now. I'm 47, 48 in March. I'm very interested in staying active & healthy.

Interesting that you threw and extra day for glutes in there. A little glute specialization routine, huh? What do you do for your glutes on that extra day?

Sounds like you have a great thing going. And you don't look 47 at all!

Do you have any problems with consistency when it comes to training?

Ha, well-big butts run in the family. Mine needed work! I've found since I incorporated a workout just for glutes, my squats & deadlifts became more effective. I can tell if my glutes are activated, now.
I do some stretches, kneeling squats, glute bridges, hypers on a flat bench & pull-throughs, mostly.
Thanks, I forget how old I am-I feel good! I have a 5 yr old so have to stay on my toes!
I'm very consistent with workouts. Now that my kid is in kindergarten, I workout when I get home from taking her to school. I'm selfish about that time-it's mine!

Well, my response must have been confusing! I had trouble with the video sound and kept trying and ended up on YouTube. The video I watched was older and you were trail walking with your dog.

I guess I'm fairly rigid with my workouts because I need to be and can be. But, if I can't do a scheduled workout I try to do something-usually a walk.

Awesome on all fronts! And it's good that you're selfish about your training time. Because ultimately, that time's not solely about you. What you do for yourself during that positively impacts everyone around you!

Yeah, I figured that out eventually. Sorry about that.
