Typing this thread made me think of one of my group fb pages. I let each of my groups own their own pages, and my Wednesday noon group named themselves the "Humpday Nooners". HA! (ok ... I suggested it, but they ran with it!)
I woke up ridiculously early again ... I'm thinking it's an age thing. Weird. But all is well. It's kinda nice having a peaceful house all to myself and my coffee. At the same time, I'm really looking forward to the weekend and all the activity and chaos that it will bring ... the grandbaby, the doggies, all the kids and their SOs, flying paper, noise, the smells of Christmas food. I just finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie, which is a poignant reminder of what really matters. It's funny how our society seems to make such a fuss over the things that really don't matter, and the day-to-day, which DOES matter, gets pushed aside. When we are missing our loved ones, it's often the little things we miss most.
As our 25th anniversary comes up, I am reminded of the daily moments that matter most to me with him right now. 2 in particular come to mind. Every day, usually a couple times each day, we stand in the kitchen and cuddle. He leans against the counter, and I snuggle against him, and we talk. Also, each night when he's working in his office, I go in at some point and sit on his lap and we talk about how our days were. For both these moments, I don't have to say a word ... I enter the room, and he makes room for me. Those are things that matter.
I pray that you all have some of those moments today with the ones you love most! Hugs! Have a meaningful day!

Mornin' BBB.
Wonderful thoughts on what matters, Lisa. Great way to start my morning.
I must say, I have a new favorite travel mug. Not only looks sharp, but fits in my truck's cup holder, is spill proof, and doesn't dribble when drunk out of.
The goodies dropped off by clients is ridiculous. I feel an urge to try everything. Oy.

Good morning
I like what you said Lisa. I agree.
I guess I forgot to check in yesterday.
Ds1 got home last night. Played a family board game. Fun. Up too late. Up way too early.
Have a great day.0 -
Good Morning,
Cold and foggy this morning, reckon folks did not realize that with enough fog roads could get slick; anyway looks as they tried to drive in the ditches and it didn't work. Traffic was lite, less than an hour for morning drive even with patrol activity around cars in ditches.
Parties have begun here at work, food and junk is abundant everywhere
DMIL got up this morning to say bye since she will be leaving for several days.
Yoga tonight then may be totally bad and go eat some wings and may have a beer; have to check energy level after yoga and decide whether to cook or go out; DW has a 4:30 appointment that they said may last a couple of hours.
Agree that it is the little nudges, hugs and simple things that matter most,
Skip must be sleeping in again, be carefull may get use to it.
Enjoy the Day,

Good Morning BBB.
I'm thrilled that it is going to be near normal temps today. Just learned that our Goddaughter will be here with her almost betrothed for Christmas Day. Time to go to Bass Pro and get their presents.
Wrapping and delivering a few things that finally arrived.
Thinking about doing Christmas cards - as long as I get them out at some point to touch base with a few folks that we don't get to see often.
Lisa - I enjoyed Tuesdays with Morrie - I'd like to read it again or maybe listen to it. Yes, it's the touches, glances, looks, leans and daily ways we get in close that deepen our relationships.
Lee - I use mine almost every day - indestructible, identifiable and Made in America.
Sam - nothing wrong with wings and a beer on occasion. Enjoy!
Bill - I hope you get to make another Starbucks run today.
Kelly - enjoy DS1 - I bet it's wonderful to have him home for the holidays.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Morning BBB
Great reminder Lisa.
Heading to a store this morning to do several "after Christmas" set up so we can take photos and write direction. All of the local stores fight over who gets to be the set up store as it is free labor and off their lost.
Hope to be at the office by 1.0 -
Yup up too early out West. Freezing fog here too.
♡ Lisa is so right . Hugs all around.
▪Kelly & family playing board games
▪Lee enjoying coffee in new mug sans wet crotch.
▪Sam with Yoga that takes on wings...
▪Raine and her goddaughter plus the young lady's betrothed to be.@Christmas.
My most favorite summer " do everything" pants are ripstop cotton cargo pants from Bass Pro. Unavailable any more I think.
▪Bill get better and do SBUX
▪Steph gave fun doing displays.
Enjoy the simple things.0 -
Good morning BBB Friends. No doubt it is the little things that are often overlooked that matter the most. Time spent with loved ones is precious. Speaking of anniversaries DW and I have one tomorrow. Lee, when is your surgery? This week?0
-
Morning Gang~ (barely)...
Yup Sam, I slept in. Woke up at 630 and rolled back over. Another great night of rest!
Lisa - I loved Mitch Albom's book! Truly was a great story. I started calling my life mentor "coach" years ago after reading Tuesday's with Morrie. Surely lots of good life lessons!
I made it to SBUX yesterday and am hopeful today is a repeat.... Still quite sore, but need to keep pressing to walk and get out more.
Have an inspired day!

Morning BBB
Knee deep in work at the office getting ready for being out next week.
Got to thinking about what Lisa mentioned and am very blessed that SO and I share daily moments (some night time ones too wink wink). We really are best friends and love each other. And we really "like" each other, too.
I hope all of BBB has a great day whether its healing, preparing, shopping, snuggling, working, driving, yoga with wings, display set up, family time, upcoming surgery, job hunting, etc. Be safe out there.
I remind myself, This time of year isn't always great for everyone. We must be supportive and kind, understanding and compassionate to those who need us.1 -
Dennis, Jan 24th is my surgery date.
Happy anniversary, Lisa and Dennis!0 -

What are the anniversary plans?0 -
It is low key Kelly. I'm hoping my cold will be no worse than today and than it's just dinner at a favorite restaurant. No dancing with her star trek boot.1
