I MADE GF STICKY BUNS TODAY!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!

Okay, we're still in the experimental stage. Always things to tweak, especially after the first attempt. My 3 daughters and I all agreed they were delicious, but not sticky enough. So we'll have to make them a little more sticky and a little less bunny next time.

Here's what we did:

1) In our dedicated bread machine, we mixed 1C warm water, 1 yeast packet, 2 T brown sugar, 1T white sugar, 1T Lyle's syrup, and 1T honey. Then gave that 15 minutes for the yeast to kick in.

2) Once the yeast was doing its thing, into this we added 1 package of Bread From Anna bread mix. The allergen free (green) mix. Also, 3 eggs, 1/4C melted butter, 1 oz oil, 1t cinnamon, and 1T vanilla (we really like vanilla). Then we turned the machine on kneading mode, and let it go to town.

3) While that was going on, we heated 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup I think?) with 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 2T honey. Then we stirred that until it was all butterscotchy. We sprayed a 12 slot muffin tin, and put about a spoonful of this in each well.

4) After about 30 minutes, when the bread maker was done kneading it, we pulled the dough out and made little balls with it. Lots and lots and lots of little balls. We mixed the little balls in what was left of the butterscotch stickyness, and then put the little balls in the muffin tin. Any leftover sticky mix, we poured over the top.

5) Then we baked at 350 for 20 minutes.

As mentioned, it needs a little more sticky mix. But past that, it's pretty doggone delicious!!!

I just wanted to share. We have 3 daughters, and 1 of them has a gluten intolerance. It's so hard on her when everybody else is eating all these things that she has to pass on. So it's something special when we can dream up some new and exciting treat that we all can share.

If you enjoy baking, I wish you well attempting this. Feel free to pass on any tweeks that you think made your attempt more successful.

TriJoe.
