Good morning bbb
Got a new tracker. I'm ready.
Rainy here. Cold too.
Got all the Christmas decorations put away yesterday.
Have a great day.0 -
Good Morning BBB.
Today we help our friend say goodbye to his wife of 70 years. Sad.
Kelly - when I got my tracker I started seeing consistent results without major setbacks as it fed into my competitive natureI think you will love it. My advice - set achievable goals and slowly increase.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Gettin' cold here too in PàcNW. May see teens??
Hey track on Kelly. I maintain well on SFT but lost tracking.
Stay warm and do good all!0 -
Good Morning!
I have a love/hate relationship with my tracker. I tend to have OCD tendencies, so I want to track every little detail. I can get way to into it. I'm seeking moderation this year. I really believe that trackers help, so I keep on. I really like my Garmin Vivosmart HR.
Home from work today, so another restful day. Taking down Christmas decorations, replacing door knob, laundry, repairing furnace water filter, etc. Sigh.... I keep telling Connie that I want a maintenance free condo (tiny house style). She tells me that I'm still too young for a nursing home. Argh!
Have a great day! -- Steve0 -
Morning Gang~
Raine - so sorry for your duties today but thank you for being there for your friend(s)!
Lazy day of football yesterday. Sad to see Skins season come to a close (though not surprising).
Back still quite sore - but hoping to make it to work tomorrow. We'll see.
Love my FitBit HR....Works well with my OCD behavior and love that is syncs with iPhone all day too. Though not much activity beyond brushing teeth these days
Off to SBUX! Wet and rainy here today. Ugh...0 -
Good morning.
Prayers for your friend today, Raine.
I have a Garmin watch that does a great job of telling me that I'm not moving enough.0 -
Good morning BBB Friends. I got a new Fitbit Charge 2 for Christmas but between fighting a cold and lots of football on TV there hasn't been a lot of activity. My cold is getting better but of course the DW has it now. Tough day for your friend Raine. A 70 year marriage is a blessing in it's own right. Bob, we have rain but your cold weather is heading our way. How's your DD doing? Have a great OP day everyone.0

70 years is a huge achievement.
Headed home from mom's. Had a nice visit. Fun to play cards with the big Kids and chase with the Littles.
Favorite gift was from 10yo nephew. He chalk painted a jar with a leaf stencil. He was so cure and said I know you are downsizing your house soon so if you don't want to keep it in will understand. Love it and him. It will make the move.0 -
Raine, that reminds me of the lyrics to a great song, "I Lived":
Hope that you fall in love
And it hurts so bad
The only way you can know
You give it all you have
And I hope that you don't suffer
But take the pain...
Hope when the moment comes
You'll say
I...I did it all
I...I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
He's hurting today in direct proportion to how much he loved for all this time. Yes, it hurts. Yes, I'll bet he'd agree it was worth it. I hope that I experience that one day, too, because it will mean I loved fully and my life had meaning.
All meaning comes in relationship and connection, imho. It is the purpose of life and the root of happiness, as well as a marker of our Spiritual maturity and health.
Steph, that jar sounds so precious! Here's a thought for it. For my receptionists this year, I made them all "2017 memory canisters". They were painted and decorated, and had a little notebook glued to the top. The idea is to keep one out, and all year long, when something memorable happens, to jot it down and put it in the canister. Don't read them again until next New Year's Eve, then pull them out and remember together all the little moments that made your year special.I hope my receptionists use theirs!
We had a great meeting this morning! Lots of newbies, lots of excitement about fresh starts and new beginnings. I closed with a little analogy that I'll share with you all. Stand comfortably, with your feet firmly planted on the floor. Feel good? Ok, now pretend that the thing you want is across the room, and you want to get to it. But, you will only move 1 of your feet to get there ... the other stays put. How hard might you work to get to it? You can pivot, you can stretch, you can stomp one foot, but you can't move the other. How frustrated might you get when you're trying so hard and getting exhausted but not making progress? How much easier might it be if you'd just let go of your comfort zone or old habits or whatever we're holding onto and MOVE THE OTHER FOOT? When we walk with BOTH feet, we go places. In what area do you need to surrender and just DO IT?
