Good Morning,
Happy HUMPING,
DMIL not feeling so good last night, I believe it is bad when one has a hangover in the evening. In about an hour I'll call and check on her. I should have went downstairs with a pan and metal spoon banging before I left this morning.
Finally got curtains from seamstress for dining room and got them put up after gym yesterday afternoon. Now if Lou was nearby he could have put them up for me. Everytime I called a guy (handyman) I learned they sometimes make more than this accountant.
OK Skip, what are they going to do? Don't let them play around, and you should not procrastinate.
Bob, hope you are feeling better.
Back to normal temps for today then dropping for weekend with sleet and possible snow; depends on where the fronts come together.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
Goodman Morning BBB.
Praying for those in path of tornadoes in south.
Arctic air here - have I mentioned lately that I am not a fan of winter?
Training this evening in the hanger again. We are able to pull our cars inside!
Online Haz Mat class has a technical glitch so I am hoping to start Thursday.
Bill - waiting to hear what doctor says about artery.
Sam - nice visual of your idea to bang spoon on metal pot
Lee - any hunting in store before the cold air comes your way?
Kelly - what's happening?
Lou - raw talent!
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Morning gang
Followed through with the plan to get up early for a run. I just can't seem to get it done in the evening. Goal this week is 3 times plus weightlifting in Saturday.0 -
Morning BBB
Whats this artery thing with Bill Raine speaks of? I must have missed something?
+10 Deg F here and windy, could be worse right?
Booked my Vegas flight for month end yesterday - annual trade show humdrum.
WTG Steph!
Stay warm Raine
Have a great day BBB0 -
Morning Gang~
Long afternoon/evening of VFW Meetings. I think we have committee's to form and schedule committee meetings. Ugh! Swore in 8 new members (yea!)....
Sam - poor DMIL with a box o'wine hangover. That must feel like a freight train in your head!
No news yet from Doc. I called late in afternoon to see if there were any results. He's out of office until next Monday but they would have the on-call physician call me with any abnormal results. So I sit and wait and hope that "no news is good news."
Unseasonably warm(er) here...but know the arctic air is coming our way too!
<<need Lou's number to add to "the guy" Roledex of repairman....
Have an inspired day! ~Skip0 -
Good Morning!
Skip, hang in there! I know that the wait is hard.
Lou, best wishes on your job search! I'm understanding that you are looking?
This bean counter is looking forward to the "another dollar" earned on this "another day". I know that plumbers get more than I do. I'm OK with that. I hate plumbing! My wife wants her shower re-caulked, and I have been procrastinating for weeks on that.
Have a great day! -- Steve

Good morning BBB Friends. I now know who to call when it is time to replace the shower head. Make sure you add that to your resume Lou. I was proud I was able to replace my thermostat. If I recall correctly there is nothing worse than a box wine hangover. I feel for her. Vegas in February should be a nice warm reprieve Mary.0

Go for it Steph - I am doing the elliptical in the morning when Jack is on the treadmill and Tom is working out - it makes them happy and I get my workout done. Win Win!0

•Hey Sam is it possible you are suffering from DMIL hangover??? Yeah I know laugh until ya cry. Hey thanks Sam. Odd but my low fever went away last night and I am feeling much better.
•Stay warm Raine from the arctic air it's nasty. Not as cold here but below freezing (20s now) and winds upwards of 35-40 MPH. Trash every where from garbage cans albeit frozen.
•Bill sending more good thoughts about your artery image results for sure.
•Nice Steph. Hope the run works for ya. My only running this a.m. was chasing trash cans careening down the street in 20 degrees with close to 40 MPH winds. brrrr
•Vegas should nice in the 60s I think Mary. Nice enough.0 -
Finally got curtains from seamstress for dining room and got them put up after gym yesterday afternoon. Now if Lou was nearby he could have put them up for me.

I can only do it if the curtains and carpet match.
Yesterday's exercise in house husbandry was putting plastic sheeting on the windows to help keep the drafts out. I also prepped a week's worth of salads and updated LinkedIn. That last one was probably most important because I didn't want all the work congratulations emails to start coming in from people. Phone screen on tap this afternoon.
I've never been hungover. When I did my biggest drinking, I was at 300+ pounds. It was hard enough to get a buzz, let alone get that drunk that I'd feel anything the next day. Now, if I have two drinks in an evening I just get sleepy.0 -
I think weight loss and cheap date go together, Lou.0

I think you're onto something - Mary! But I notice the older I get the more discerning my palate becomes. For instance someone at the VFW offered me a snort of their Knob Creek last night. Seriously? I start at Woodford Reserve and move up from there
LMAO! Carpets must match drapes!0 -
