Hi there! Steps not generating any calorie burn?

Hey! I have a vivofit. When steps are listed in mfp diary, it's always 0 calories. Will that change as I walk more? I am not allowed any exercise other than just General walking as I am able because of blood count issues making me dizzy often. I got a few thousand steps in yesterday that shows me as 0 calories lol just curious
